Tony began playing brass at school, before moving to Clarinet at the age of 12, and Saxophone a bit later. He turned professional in the early ‘80s, playing sax as a session musician in London, and running various rock bands in night clubs and on the gig circuit in London and South Wales. He maintained his interest in the Clarinet, and in the early ‘90s began playing jazz on the circuit in the West Country, whilst teaching on the Performing Arts syllabus at North Devon College. Moving to Surrey in ‘98, he is now widely known as a Reeds teacher, with students ranging from adult beginners to advanced Grade 8 and Diploma-level specialists

Since arriving on the Danish Jazz scene in 1981 this elegant and explosive musician has been searching relentlessly into the realms of contemporary music, respecting no boundaries. A truly original and virtuoso voice, performing in bands around Europe and Scandinavia, such as his own Offpiste Gurus, 5 Go Adventuring Again, the 13 piece MaLuBa Orchestra, which he co-leads with Marilyn Mazur and Kasper Bai, and with Marilyn Mazur Group, Jon Balke Magnetic North Orchestra and Carsten Dahl.

Eli Degibri

Born and raised in Israel, saxophonist Eli Degibri first began playing the mandolin at age 7 in an after school music program at the Jaffa Conservatory of Music. Three years later, after attending a jazz concert, he became enamored with the saxophone and switched his studies to that instrument. At 16, Degibri has already worked professionally with some of the major names in the Israeli music scene establishing himself as one of the leading musicians in Israel. That same year (1994) Degibri was selected to receive a full scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music’s Summer Performance Program

Melvin Quinones

Melvin Quinones, also known as Melvin Llord, started studying saxophone by age 11, with the idea of someday playing in the local church's band. He never made it to that group, but that didn't discourage him from his passion for music. By the age of 15, he was recording music with local bands and slowly gaining popularity as one of the best sax players in western Puerto Rico. At 17, his talent was discovered by Andrew Ruiz, one of the most popular band directors in Puerto Rico, who quickly extended him an invitation to play with international Latin star Wilkins. Award winning, Cuban born tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger Rocky Yera began his musical journey at the age of twelve. Since his early years, Rocky received his main influences and musical guidance from multi-Grammy Award winning producer Richard Aspinwall. Rocky's other significant musical influences include Cannonball Adderley, Ed Calle, Paul Desmond, Stan Getz, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Jeff Coffin, Lenny Pickett, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Edward Van Halen. Rocky has been acknowledged with several awards throughout his career. As a high school student at New World School of the Arts, he was awarded the Downbeat Magazine Outstanding Performance award in 2000

At Kollega HQ we are inspired and motivated by fusing technology and contemporary sounds into our music alongside acoustic and electric instruments. The tunes are underpinned by big grooves and processed bass sitting beneath insistent tenor saxophone and lush analogue synths with loops and samples providing lots of sweet additional sonic interest. We believe that the studio and live outputs of the band should reflect each other while providing different and complementary experiences
