John Dare

Born:

A native of Auburn, NY, where his father and grandfather also based long drumming careers, John began playing drums at age four, learning rudiments from his grandfather. Music, especially Jazz, was an integral part of the Dare family life. Some of John’s earliest memories are of helping his Dad set up his drums for a gig, or watching his older brother’s band rehearse. ( both his older brothers also played drums ) At a very early age, John was exposed to and taught about the lineage of great drummers, such as “Papa Jo” Jones, Davey Tough, Shelly Manne, etc.. John took lessons in school, and played in all the ensembles

Camille Millar

Born:

Trained in vocal jazz under Kelly Eisenhower (backup singer for Gladys Knight), Camille has soloed with the premier big band, Synthesis, and was a member of the first 9-girl acapella group to win the International Championships of Collegiate Acappella, the story behind the movie Pitch Perfect. Camille has won solo competitions at festivals and invitationals across the country, and currently plays "Rapunzel" and "Ariel" with Royal Promise Productions. She has performed in over 25 musical theater productions and met her husband when they were leading roles in Beauty and the Beast. Currently she lives in Syracuse and sings regularly at The Fitz, the 1920's speakeasy within the restaurant Oh My Darling.

This exciting jazz quartet's 2009 album Time’s Up! (SPIDER RECORDS) was featured in JAZZIZ magazine. In 2010, the record won a Syracuse Area Music Award (Sammy) for best jazz Recording and continues to receive airplay in more than 120 cities worldwide. In 2012, E.S.P. was voted “Best Jazz Group” in the Syracuse New Times annual reader’s poll.
