Stereophonics
Stereophonics formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Wales and was originally known as "Tragic Love Company," taking one word from each member's favourite band (The Tragically Hip, Mother Love Bone, and Bad Company). The band first consisted of Kelly Jones (vocals/guitar and songwriter), Richard Jones (bass), and Stuart Cable (drums). Cable was fired by the other two members of the band in September 2003, and the band replaced him on the road with the former drummer for The Black Crowes, Steve Gorman. After a decade's worth of studio albums (5 number 1's) the band scored its first number 1 single with Dakota, the first single of their fifth album Language
