Born: October 30, 1973

Jon Bentley is a Juno nominated saxophonist based in Vancouver, Canada. A versatile musician, Jon performs and records in many genres of music both as a leader and a sideman. He has recorded and/or performed professionally in concerts with musicians/ groups such as Kenny Wheeler, Seamus Blake, Dave Douglas, Mark Helias, Brad Turner, Denzal Sinclaire, Eddie Daniels, Oliver Lake, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Phil Dwyer's Saxophone Summit, The Temptations, Peggy Lee Band, Neil Swainson, and Metalwood. Aside from his participation in many recording projects as a sideman, Bentley has released two albums as a leader: "Jon Bentley Quintet: Motions" and "Diversions: American Prophecy." Juan Alzate Nuñez

Born: August 14, 1965

Juan Alzate is considred one of the most important jazz saxophone players and educator in Mexico and in Latin-America countries, he was teaching at Conservatorio de Las Rosas, Michoacan State University and Escuela DIM at Mexico City, now he is teaching at Queretaro State University at Fine Arts School and Guanajuato University and give masterclasses and concerts around Mexico and other Latin-American countries he studied at Escuela Popular de Bellas Artes, Conservatorio de Las Rosas and Berklee College in Boston where his teachers included Jim Odgren, Bill Pierce, Hal Crook, and studied privately with Jerry Bergonzi

Dom Franks

Born: July 7, 1975

Former winner of the Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition, Dom Franks is a versatile musician, teacher and composer based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Following a spell with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Dom studied on the Postgraduate Jazz course at London’s Guildhall School of Music with former Jazz Messenger Jean Toussaint and saxophonist Stan Sulzmann. Since then he has headed up promotions at London’s Jazz Café, and worked as manager and music booker at the Vortex Jazz Club in Dalston. At the same time he has maintained a busy career as a freelance session musician, bandleader and teacher

Anders Hagberg

Critically acclaimed and innovative virtuoso Anders Hagberg is a unique soloist on a variety of flutes and soprano saxophone. Lyndon Owen

Born: May 22, 1959

Musical Biography Lyndon started playing full time in 1993 and simultaneously studied Performing Arts (Jazz) at Manchester City College with Mike Hall and Dennis Freedman. During that time he played with several blues and jazz bands in the North of England and was part of Enigma Music with Geoff Amos and Pete Martin, promoting new high quality music in West Yorkshire, through which he discovered the freedom of European experimental music. In 1995 he formed a seminal septet, “The Big Clutch”, which played a combination of his compositions which allowed areas of free experimentation alongside more formally structured music

Sam Newsome

Born: April 28, 1965

Samuel Augustus Newsome was born on April 28, 1965 in Salibury, MD. He is the youngest of three boys. He began playing music at 12 years old when his family relocated to Hampton, VA. By the time he was 15 years old he began playing professionally around town with local R & B bands along with his high school classmate bassist James Genus. It was during high school that he became serious about studying jazz and began taking lessons after school with saxophonist Steve Wilson. It was Steve who introduced him to recordings of jazz legends such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and Sonny Rollins. In 1983, after graduating high school, Sam received the Kool Jazz Festival scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass

Saxophonist/composer Pekka Pylkkänen has worked with many orchestras and groups during his career and has appeared either as a leader or as a sideman with for example Vince Mendoza, Odean Pope, Dave Liebman, Gene Jackson, Sal La Rocca, Jukkis Uotila, Eric Ineke, etc.

As a leader, he has performed in more than 50 countries (Finland, Denmark, Norway, USA, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Korea, China and Japan, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa etc.) He has appeared as a leader/soloist in around 2000 concerts during the last 20 years, most of them outside Finland
