Engin Ozsahin

Engin Özşahin is a jazz pianist and composer. He was born in 1986 and lived in Istanbul, Turkey until his late twenties. His first musical influence was his grandmother, who played classical piano by Schubert, Rachmaninoff and Chopin. At age 6, Engin started to learn classical piano himself and became very interested in the melodies and harmonies of aforementioned classical composers. Although music and performing was Engin’s passion, his cultural and family environment which consisted of engineers and architects suggested that these professions were the way to go in life. As a result, he completed mechanical engineering and business administration degrees in Istanbul and worked as a business developer in corporate environments following that. Alongside his college studies and work, Engin excelled at playing Chopin and Rachmaninoff preludes, and got interested in jazz

Perssons Sexa is a group based in Malmö, Sweden, playing original compositions by Jens Persson. The members are or have been involved in projects with musicians and groups like: Tolvan Big Band, Marius Neset, Malene Mortensen, Andrew D'Angelo, Makross, Horse Orchestra, Tingsek and many more. The music is very personal and inviting with space for both improvisation and composition, and it's framed by a interesting and wide group sound. Mike Spinrad is a composer, arranger, drummer and percussionist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has composed the music for two released CDs under his own name, a jazz trio for "It's Morning" and a sextet for "Horns." He has played or recorded with Guido Fazio, Dan Parenti, Steve Webber, Mark Rossi, John Hettel, Richard Conway, Dann Zinn, David Enos, Cindy Browne, Steve Schuster, Brian Gary, Frank Sumares, Fred Zimmerman, Fred Ross-Perry, Kurt Huget, Curtis Long, David Margules, Jef Labes, Rita Glassman, Joe Kaline, Todd Gray, Jan Martinelli, John McClellen, and Don Turney
