Scott Denett

Scott Denett is an artist and jazz guitarist with roots from master musician Pat Martino. Scott began playing guitar at the age of twelve and within six months was already playing professionally. Growing up in the Washington DC area Scott’s first break came from the Blues Alley youth orchestra, that led to a performance with Dizzy Gillespie and opening for Joe Pass and Ella Fitzgerald at the Kennedy Center. Denett gained national recognition from Downbeat Magazine after entering the first annual Musicfest competition and winning best jazz combo. This led to an Article in Downbeat magazine which by coincidence also had an article about Pat Martino. Scott began his studies with Pat Martino at 16 years old, and Pat is by far the dominant influence on his playing
