Cecilia Wennerstrom

Cecilia Wennerström is a saxophone player, composer and arranger, educated at the music academies in Malmoe and Gothenburg. She was born in 1947 and lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
In 2013 she released her fourth solo CD "Lydian Mars" with a rhythm section containing Maria Kvist(p), Filip Augustson(b) and Jonas Holgersson(dr). The band on the recording session then formed Cecilia Wennerström New Quartet with Chris Montgomery replacing Holgersson on drums.
Other groups where Cecilia is a member are Wennerstrom Larsson Explicity (with her husband Sven Larsson) who released their first CD Tussilago in September 2011, and the octet LARS 8 which plays compositions by Lars Gullin and other Swedish jazz icons

Yuki Tei
Yuki Tei was born in Hiroshima, Japan. He started playing alto saxophone at the age of 15. In 1993, after taking a rigorous exam as a high school student in Japan, at the age of 16, Yuki came to America on a full scholarship as one of four students from Japan to study in America.
Moving to New York City, Yuki was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Mannes Jazz program at the New School University. Today, he holds a B.F.A from Mannes and a M.A. from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Furthermore, he has studied jazz with great masters like Antonio Hart, Sir Roland Hanna, Michael Mossman, Rick Margitza, Jon Gordon, Mike Karn, Bob Mover, Eric Alexander, Chico Hamilton, Reggie Workman, Makanda Ken Mckintyer among many others. He has studied clarinet with Alan Kay and Hideaki Aomori.

"As a kid I heard Sidney Bechet singing through his horn. I knew right away that I needed to tell my story that way too." Saxophonist/Composer Lester Ang refined the rudiments of his instrument playing a hodgepodge of genres with concert bands in his native country of Singapore. In High school, he ultimately become the Music Director/Student conductor on top of holding the soloist chair for two consecutive years (for saxophone and flute) at the Combined Schools Wind Band Festival in Singapore.
