Saxophonist and educator Stantawn Kendrick is a native of Thomson, GA. He began showing interest in music at a very young age. Brought up by music from the 70s his father would play throughout the house and being active in the church planted seeds for him to pursue music later in life. He holds a bachelors in music from Valdosta State University and a masters degree from William Paterson University. While attending William Paterson University he met and studied under Clark Terry whom took him as a student with a bright future. Later Clark asked him to join his big band as well as his jazz quintet

Massimo Urbani

Born:

Massimo Urbani was an Italian jazz alto saxophonist. He played principally in the bebop style. Urbani was born in Primavalle, Rome on 8 May 1957, the oldest of five brothers. His first instrument, from 1968, was the clarinet, but he soon switched to the alto saxophone. Urbani died of a heroin overdose on 23 June 1993. The Penguin Guide to Jazz commented that "Urbani's senseless death robbed Europe of a player whose records are a flawed testament to a bopper of enormous guts and facility

Artistic License is a jazz/blues combo that plays around the Finger Lakes region of New York. Most or our gigs are around Keuka or Seneca Lakes. The core of the group is Casey Kowalski on saxophone and David Goodrich on stand-up bass. From there we add a piano, guitar, and drums depending on the venue. Our sets can vary with an emphasis on blues, jazz, or swing. We can provide a show or ambiance. Mostly we're found playing a dinner restaurants and wineries.
