Danny Lerman

Danny Lerman is a riveting saxophonist and composer. Faiz Lamouri

Born: January 14, 1986

Born in Rabat, Morocco, French saxophone player Faïz Lamouri began the study of saxophone and music at a very early age.After eight years of classical studies, he became interested in jazz through musicians like Paul Desmond, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Hank Mobley and John Coltrane.

In 2004, at 18 years old he enrolled at the American school of modern music in Paris where he studied under the direction of American jazz musicians such as Peter Giron and Steve Browman.

During his time in Paris, Faïz Lamouri emerged quickly as a leading figure of the Parisian jazz scene. He led a quintet that performed in the most prestigious Parisian jazz clubs like the Sunside, the Sunset and the Baiser Salé.

Kareem Kandi

A native of the Pacific Northwest, saxophonist Kareem Kandi is a performer, composer, and educator, in high demand for his talents both on and off the stage. Kareem is a versatile musician with strong roots in the traditions of Jazz, Blues, Classical and Funk, and has been performing on the scene for years, gaining attention from critics and audiences alike.  While staying true to musical styles of the past, he also keeps an eye towards the future by composing original music as well as new arrangements of timeless songs from the great American songbook. Sal Lozano

Born: September 15, 1961

Southern California native, Sal Lozano has recently released his first CD which is available here! He is a featured member of bands led by such notable composers as Johnny Mandel, Tom Kubis, and can be heard with Gordon Goodwin's critically acclaimed Grammy Award Winning Big Phat Band. A few of the artists Sal has also recorded with include Paul McCartney, Natalie Cole, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Lalo Schifrin, Brian McKnight, Michael Buble, Keely Smith, Barbra Streisand, Joey DeFrancesco, and Maynard Ferguson. Sal has been a member of the Dancing with the Stars House Band, the American Idol House Band, and the Academy Awards Orchestra along with numerous other television and commercial credits

Brett Jackson Quartet

Since relocating in 2009, Jackson has been joining the ranks of a Kansas City music scene that is bursting with talent, performing with many of Kansas City’s premier jazz ensembles including The Project H (2014 Pitch Award Winner - Best Jazz Ensemble), Chris Hazelton’s Boogaloo 7, The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, Vine Street Rumble, and Clint Ashlock’s New Jazz Order. At home on all of the saxophones as well as flute and clarinet, Jackson is able to adapt to any musical situation

Alex Hitchcock

Saxophonist Alex Hitchcock is an immediately distinctive improviser and a leading voice on his instrument in the UK. As a prolific and multi-award winning bandleader, his writing is inspired by the uniquely creative and diverse voices of the musicians he works with - always with human connection and communication as their guiding principle. His compositions, primarily influenced by black American music, unite a powerful instrumental command with an originality and clarity of musical vision that has been described as ‘exquisitely subtle’ (All About Jazz) and ‘startlingly vivid and mature’(Marlbank). 

David Henderson - Saxophone

avid Henderson grew up in Hartford City, Indiana, and has degrees from the University of Michigan and the Juilliard School. In 1980, he gave his Carnegie Recital Hall solo debut as a winner of the East and West Artists competition, with the New York Times stating “an exceptionally accomplished instrumentalist with something to say, his work is poised, cultivated, and expressive.” In 1981, he received a first prize in saxophone from the Conservatoire de Bordeaux as a recipient of a Fulbright-ITT grant to study in France. Since moving to San Francisco in 1988, he has played regularly with the San Francisco Symphony, including several tours and three recordings under maestro Michael Tilson Thomas
