Born in 1986 in Santander and begins to play the transverse flute at the age of 10 at the Conservatory Jesus de Monasterio de Santander, where he studies flute with Jaime Salas and composition with Emilio Otero. During his last years at the conservatory he focuses on the study of jazz and contemporary composition and, shortly thereafter, moves to Barcelona to study the upper level of Jazz and Modern Music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). He completed his studies between Barcelona and the Kask-Koninklijk Conservatorium de Ghent (Belgium) with professors such as Bart Defoort, Eladio Reinón, Gary Willis, Agustí Fernández, Gorka Benítez, Julia Gallego

David Byrd and Byrds of a Feather are the epitome of JazzReggae in the bay area. Born and raised on the musical mecca of 47th street in Chicago, and grew up listening to all the greats like Lou Rawls, Jackie Wilson, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations and BB King, to name a few, who played at the Regal Theater, where his uncle, Red Saunders was the drummer and bandleader. On the same block of 47th and Drexel Blvd. where he lived, jazz greats like Gene Ammons played at the Southerland . He got serious about jazz until he went to the jam sessions that were hosted by Sonny Stitt at the Grass Hut on 79th street and then enrolled in Chicago State University in 1977 to study under the great Bunky Green

Peter Fraize

Born:

A distinct voice as both a saxophonist and composer, Peter Fraize is known for his impassioned high-energy playing, intricate and melodic writing, and his "no-boundaries" sensibility. His music draws from deep within the jazz tradition, exploratory free improvisation, modern rock and pop, and music from around the world. Based in Washington, DC, he is also familiar to international audiences through concert appearances in Peru, Japan and Europe. Most recently he toured the UK with his transatlantic organ group ATLANTICUS, appearing at the 2018 Love Supreme Festival.

Raised in a musical family in Northern Virginia, Peter took up the saxophone age nine

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, raised in Birmingham Alabama, BS from UGA, Redcoat Band and Jazz Ensemble four years; MD degree from MCG.

Residency at MCG in Orthopedic Surgery, involved in local Big Band there as well as rock and roll bands, Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery and Asst Professor @UAB playing sax during all of this. Orthopedic Surgeon by training, a jazz player since the 4th grade, Dr Jones is now retired from private practice as an orthopedic and hand surgeon and is playing around north Georgia.   He is a member of multiple Jazz and Jazz Rock and big bands as well as combos.

He has studied with Roscoe Mitchell, Fred Frith, Zeena Parkins, Pauline Oliveros, Steve Adams, Richard Evans, and Phil Wilson, among others. Bill Hauser

Raised in Anchorage, Alaska from the age of 3, Bill began playing the saxophone in grade school, and decided to never stop. After graduating from Indiana University, Bill moved to Atlanta, where he sat in at local jam sessions, eventually picking up a touring gig as member of the Platinum Soul Band with the Universoul Circus. Bill then moved to NYC, where he became a fixture on the village r&b scene, working and performing with some of the best-known musicians on the scene. While sitting in with The Black Soul Experience at Manhattan's Club Groove, frontman Antwon Robinson shouted impromptu "Kill Bill!," and the name stuck

Julien Wilson

Born:

Julien Wilson is a Melbourne saxophonist and composer who has been a crucial member of the Australian jazz community since the mid 90’s. He studied at VCA under Brian Brown & Barry Duggan and at Boston’s New England Conservatory with George Russell & Paul Bley. Throughout the 90's he was an integral member of a number of highly regarded co-operative bands including Ishish, Festa, and the Swiss-based multi-national band, Snag. He has released a dozen albums as leader or co-leader, and his trio has been hailed as one of Australia’s most unique groups. He has recorded and performed with artists including Charlie Haden, Hermeto Pascoal, Nigel Kennedy, Hugh Masekala, Jim Black, Kurt Elling & the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, made long standing contributions to the Black Arm Band and the Australian Art Orchestra, and been a regular member of groups run by leading Australian musicians including Stu Hunter, Jonathan Zwartz, Paul Grabowsky, Jex Saarelaht, Aaron Choulai & Mike Nock. After spending extended periods in Europe in the late 90's, then living in Boston and New York for a few years, Julien returned to Melbourne in 2001 and had a very fruitful musical period
