Born in Cuba, he received his earliest musical training from his father, Eladio "Don Pancho" Terry , violinist and Cuba's leading player of the Chekeré. His father was also known as the founder and director of the "Orquesta Maravillas de Florida," one of Cuba's most important charanga bands. Mr. Terry went on to receive his classical music training and graduated from both the prestigious National School of Art (ENA) and Amadeo Roldan Conservatory. Will Connell

Born: November 22, 1938

Will Connell received a CAPS grant for orchestral composition in 1980 and has recorded with Chico Hamilton, various William Parker ensembles, including the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra, the Walter Thompson Big Band, the composer's collective Commitment, and Steve Swell. He has performed and/or toured with Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Horace Tapscott, Sam Rivers' Winds of Manhattan, David Murray Big Band, Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, Pharoah Sanders, Butch Morris, Roy Campbell, Billy Bang, Tito Nieves, Elton John, Ryan Adams, and many others. As a copyist/arranger he has worked for musicians ranging from Ornette Coleman, Julius Hemphill, Matthew Shipp to Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Michael Jackson, Simon and Garfunkel

Ferdinand Povel

It wasn't the very latest music that the five gentlemen played at Fattoria Musica. But they pulled out all the stops, playing like there was no tomorrow. Music as it might have spilled out onto the streets of New York from the jazz clubs of the forties and fifties: fast, virtuosic, soulful. Ferdinand Povel gives the group not just its name, but also an unmistakable charm and personality. The fantastic Ferdinand Povel plays a relaxed tenor saxophone, but at the same time injects the terrific agility and excitement of Bebop into his music.

Bill Green

Born: February 28, 1925

William Earnest Green was an American jazz multi-instrumentalist.

Green learned to play alto saxophone at age ten and picked up clarinet when he was twelve; he eventually learned to play most varieties of saxophone, clarinet, and flute. He served in the military until 1946, then began working at a club called Small's in Kansas City. In 1947 he relocated to Los Angeles and enrolled at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music and Arts, graduating in 1952; he remained on staff as an educator there until 1962. He also ran a music education studio on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles for many years.
