Glenn Barton

Born:

Formed in the fall of 2007 when brothers Sean Dougherty (guitar) and Kevin Dougherty (bass) were encouraged by their music instructor (Christopher Vance) to learn jazz standards. They formed a jazz trio called Uncle Melon with their life long friend Scott Parker, and had their debut gig at The Winchester in Lakewood, OH soon afterward. Sean discovered that his co-worker Glenn Barton had a mutual interest in jazz and some experience playing tenor sax in high school and college concert and jazz bands, and invited him to a rehearsal in November of 2007. Glenn clicked with the group right away, and the trio became a quartet.
