Craig Enright

Born in Omaha and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Craig Enright currently lives in Stamford, Connecticut, just around the corner from New York city. He has been occasionally playing with New York based Jazz and Latin musicians since early 2006. In February, 2007, together with conga player Aryam Vazquez (Cuba), they began forming the working group that performs on "La Belleza". While two of the pieces were re-writes from a number of years ago, Craig wrote the other seven tunes beginning in the summer of 2007. The combined resumes of the band members is exceptional. Enrique Haneine (piano, Meixco) has played in most every major venue in NYC, has served as musical director for Ricky Martin, and has played with Jerry Bergonzi, Bobby Sanabria, Joe Lovano, Jon Faddis, Ingrid Jensen and many others

Ove Johansson, tenorsax, composer, had since the end of the fifties been leading his own groups and been a driving force of the Swedish jazz scene, he was also musical director of {{m: MWENDO DAWA = 19835}}. Although he has been very active on the Swedish jazz scene since several years his most rewarding efforts has been with {{m: MWENDO DAWA = 19835}}.
Ove Johansson's musical work stretches all the way from straight ahead, free form and electronic jazz to the acoustic and electro acoustical mix of today. With {{m: MWENDO DAWA = 19835}} he has been able to present his music throughout the world- both in Europe, North and South America and China, and he has produced 35 albums with his own material and with the group. The last CD with the group Mwendo Dawa Music was released 2012.

Jeff Rupert

Jeff Rupert is a freelance tenor saxophonist, a Yamaha Artist and a record producer under the Flying Horse Records label. His numerous recordings as a featured soloist include dates with Maynard Ferguson, Sam Rivers, Diane Schuur, Mel Torme, Benny Carter’s Grammy winning recording, Harlem Renaissance (Music Masters), and the New Jersey Blues band TheFins, to name just a few. He has been featured on his own quartet recordings, Jeff Rupert, Jeff Rupert + Dirty Martini, Jeff Rupert & Kenny Drew Jr From Memphis to Mobile, in recordings with the Flying Horse Big Band, with blues group The Fins, and Jazz pianist, vocalist, and radio show host Judy Carmichael, among his many appearances. His debut album,"Do That Again," with The Jazz Professors, charted in the top ten of the JazzWeek charts in the Spring of 2013

Evan Cobb

Growing up in New Jersey, Evan Cobb’s musical studies were encouraged from an early age. After years of training on the piano and singing in choirs, Evan began playing the oboe at his father’s behest and progressed quickly. While playing in numerous high school merit ensembles in the Northeast, Evan also started the saxophone and found his interest in jazz. At Northwestern University, Evan studied oboe performance as his major and also earned a Certificate in jazz studies. The structure of a formal music training was quite helpful and at times entertaining for the young musician. Evan’s oboe studies included Ray Still, Alex Klein, Michael Henoch, Elaine Douvas, and Joseph Robinson; while jazz studies included Michael Kocour and Greg Fishman. In the Fall of 2000, ‘Young’ Cobb formed the Crime Jazz band Buddha’s Belly

Bob Brough was hot, hot, hot back in 1982, with the trio Timewarp, on the CD Time Warp when it was given a Juno nomination. And Bob was hot, hot, hot back in 2003 with Richard Underhill's Quintet on the CD Tales from the Blue Lounge, when Richard’s CD won a Juno-award. Now, in 2008 Bob is hot, hot, hot following a 3-year-long adventure with the most recent version of The Bob Brough Quartet which has culminated in the release of a new CD, Time Away, celebrated officially at the Rex Jazz and Blues Bar on November 7, 2008. At the CD-release engagement, Bob Brough on tenor saxophone, Adrean Farrugia on piano, Artie Roth on bass, and Terry Clarke on drums, played two rousing sets comprised of jazz standards and original compositions by Bob or Adrean

Mischa van der Wekken

Dutch saxophonist Mischa van der Wekken (b. 1979) recorded his first album as a leader 'Momentum' early 2008. This features his international quintet, trumpetplayer Eric Vloeimans, and a suite he composed and arranged for saxophone quartet. Mischa studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague where he graduated as ‘Master of Music’ in 2004. As a member of the Royal Conservatory Big Band he made five appearances at the North Sea Jazz Festival, featuring guest conductors/soloists like Jim McNeely, Slide Hampton, Kenny Wheeler and Michael Brecker. In 2003-2004 Mischa studied at the Paris Conservatory, where he specifally focused on developing his skills as a composer and arranger
