Eric Schugren

Saxophonist, and composer Eric Schugren lives in New York City where he moved from Los Angeles in 2008. He has played and recorded with a host of jazz luminaries young and old including the late Billy Higgins, Harold Land, Teddy Charles, and the thriving Willie Jones lll, Richard Grant, Danny Grissett, and Bob Hurst, to name a few . He has written sound tracks for the films of artist Bob Branaman which are in the Museum of Modern Art's Beat Generation archive. Additionally, Eric is in his 7th year as the woodwind clinician at the International Summer Jazz Academy in Krakow, Poland. Originally from Berkeley California, he has a degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA, and has traveled Europe and China as an ambassador of Jazz

Tony Barba

Tony Barba is a recent addition to Chicago after living in New York City for the last decade. Graduating in 2001 from the NYU jazz department, Barba studied saxophone with such notables as George Garzone and Ralph Lalama. SInce then, Tony has performed in the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia and Africa with such artists as Andrew Hill, Josh Ritter, Escort, Tony Malaby, Ben Monder, David Murray, Angelica Sanchez, Al Vizutti, Tony Scherr, Steven Bernstein, Ellery Eskelin, Shane Endsley, the Violent Femmes, Pete Yorn, Antibalis, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. From 2001 until 2010, Tony led and self-released two albums with his funk band the Barbarian Horde, which featured many of Brooklyn's finest musicians

Edward RosenBerg III is a composer/performer currently residing in New York City. He studied saxophone at the Eastman School of Music, composition at Queens College and counterpoint with Paul Caputo. Edward performs regularly as a saxophonist/clarinetist/beat-boxer with a variety of jazz/rock/new-music groups including: Anti-Social Music, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Asphalt Orchestra, Fireworks Ensemble, Talking Band, The Metawee River Theater Company, Amy Lynn & The Gunshow, Euphonique Saxophone Quartet, Ensemble Signal, Liz Roche Dance Company, and the Bottleote Music Collective in Dublin

Björn Dahlberg

Born: November 14, 1973

Björn Dahlberg is a Swedish musician, best known for his saxophone & clarinet work. Born outside of Stockholm Björn started playing piano at the age of 5 and clarinet at the age of 11. While studying classical clarinet he fell in love with the music of Paul Desmond, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea & Miles Davies and picked up the saxophon. Focusing at first on the Baritone and Soprano sax (studying soprano with master musician Cenneth Jönsson) he added tenor to his collection and found his voice and began his studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Björn is a founding member of world jazz groups Nybakat and Lele Lele

Kris Jensen

Born: March 26, 1968

Saxophonist, flutist and composer/arranger Kris Jensen is a versatile musician that resides in Connecticut, USA. He is associated with many well known acts in jazz and rock including the Allman Brothers Band and it's individual members' bands (Gregg Allman and Friends, Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, Dickey Betts Band) trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson and members of Connecticut's world class jazz community including Mark Templeton, Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, Phil Bowler, Jesse "Cheese" Hameen, Rohn Lawrence and others. Jensen both attended the University of Hartford and taught there under the auspices of jazz saxophone legend Jackie McLean.

Chad Lefkowitz-Brown

Born: September 8, 1989

At 27-years-old, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown is already a renowned jazz saxophonist and international recording artist. He is currently a member of the multi Grammy award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, and he has made internationally televised appearances with pop icons like Taylor Swift, Don Henley and Phillip Phillips. Chad has toured across the globe as a soloist and with many esteemed jazz artists, including Arturo O’Farrill and Clarence Penn. A native of Elmira, New York, Chad established himself as a jazz prodigy at age 11, performing throughout New York State under the mentorship of local jazz hero, George Reed, who was known for backing legends like Teddy Wilson, Buddy Tate, and Marian McPartland. Chad went on to pursue a formal education in the arts at the Brubeck Institute, a prestigious fellowship program created by jazz legend Dave Brubeck

KyungGu Lee

At age of 15, KyungGu happened to see the saxophones in a department store. Then a year had passed before he got a chance to play the instrument that had delighted and enchanted him. From the moment he laid his fingers on it he instantly fell in love; the saxophone and he were destined to go through life together. In 1999, he enrolled into Seoul Institute of Arts, which had produced a large number of distinguished musicians in Korea, and had the first opportunity to interact with other musicians. This immersion into a community of great musicians and the learning that came from interacting with them were just two of many benefits he reaped

Born: June 10, 1984

Stefano Ferrian is an italian musician, composer and improviser based in Novara, in the north-west part of Italy. He plays guitars since the age of 9 studying various genres like Classical, Blues, Rock, Fusion, Funky and Avantgarde techniques. He’s one of the former member of the Italian well known avant-core band .psychofagist. He had also collaborated with a lot of different bands like; Udus, Ephel Duath, Insane Assholes, Hunab Ku, ETB, Mombu, The True Endless and in the folk project Skoll. After more than a decade playing in extreme/experimental bands he starts studying Saxophones. Right now he’s involved as guitarist/saxophonist in the field of European Radical Improvisation, Jazz and Experimental/Extreme projects
