Nick Brust

Since moving to New York in 2012, saxophonist Nick Brust has established his voice on the saxophone with an adventurous harmonic imagination and incisive, soulful sound. As much a composer as a performer, Nick co-leads the Brust - Horowitz Quintet, a group that performs mostly original compositions regularly around NYC. Equally influenced by traditional jazz from the blue note era as well as the musical innovators of today, the group recently released an EP, 'Introducing Brust-Horowitz Quintet,' in December 2013. Before moving to New York, Nick attended New England Conservatory in Boston on scholarship, where he studied with Jerry Bergonzi, Frank Carlberg, Ran Blake, John McNeil, Donny McCaslin, and Miguel Zenon

Tony Williams - Saxophone

Tony Williams is a legendary alto saxophonist who truly represents "The Sound Of Philadelphia". Born and raised as a child in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Tony soon made it up north where he grew up outside of Philadelphia in Crestmont, Pennsylvania. He grew up playing the horn as a youngster and soon found his love with the music. He played in school bands in high school (Abington High School) and later went to college at Tennessee A & I (presently known as Tennessee State University) and played with their band. He transfered to Central State University in Ohio and hooked up with music opportunities there.

Maarten Hogenhuis

Maarten Hogenhuis is one of Hollands leading young saxophonists. He is a member of the exhilarating powerjazzgroup BRUUT!, the two-drummer band Krupa & The Genes and leads the Maarten Hogenhuis Trio. He was also a member of The More Socially Relevant Jazz Music Ensemble (led by Reinier Baas) and is a much sought-after sideman, which resulted in the collaboration with a wide variety of artists such as Pete Philly & Perquisite, The Four Tops, The Temptations, New Cool Collective Bigband, Ben van Gelder, Benjamin Herman, Jesse van Ruller, Joris Roelofs, Anton Goudsmit and many others. In 2013 Maarten won the prestigious Keep an Eye International Jazz Award with his Maarten Hogenhuis Trio (Best Soloist and Best Band)

Stephanie Francke

Stephanie Francke is a Saxophone player and composer based in Rotterdam. Over the years she has released two albums with her own quartet and gave concerts at (amongst other places) the BIMHUIS, North Sea Jazz Festival and Lantarenvenster. She also was a finalist in the Dutch Jazz Competition and European Jazz Competition. With Saxophone Quartet Spoken, she won the Keep an Eye Jazz Award - ‘The Records’, a prestigious Dutch funding for their debut album, which came out in 2018. In 2020, she will be touring with Spoken's newest show 'Lost Cities' and with the Dutch group HENK which just released their album 'The Road Unknown'.

Ron Aprea grew up in Astoria, NY and clearly remembers seeing Pete Fountain playing the clarinet on television. Inspired to play, Ron went to his elementary school band director, Mr. Cahill, and asked to play what he thought was Pete’s instrument, a saxophone. So that’s what the school gave him. That little mistake has given the world of Jazz an artist that contributes to the genre with exceptional skill to this day. Ricardo Tejero

RICARDO TEJERO Saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, improviser and conducter. Born in Madrid Ricardo Tejero lives in UK since 2001. His work ranges through improvisation, jazz, Latin and African music as well as his own compositions, and conduction of large orchestras. Initially self-taught, Tejero studied with Wade Mathews and in 1998 started playing improvised music under the guidance of Chefa Alonso at the same time as he was playing in different ad hoc bands, developing an active role in Madrid's improvised music scene of late 90's. Graduated in Jazz and Contemporary Music at Leeds College Music in 2005, Tejero obtained in 2007 a Masters Degree in Contemporary Music at Brunel University (London) under professors Richard Barret and Peter Wieg. Since he moved to London in 2005 Tejero has maintained an active role mainly in the local improvised music scene for several years, but also covering other styles playing with musicians like Steve Noble, Dominic Lash, Mark Sanders, Tony Marsh, Niko Meinhold, John Edwards, Alexander Hawkins, Matthias Muller or Frank Paul Schubert amongst others

Lumbinigroove is a mix of Afro, Nepali and Jazz project started by Pravin Chhetri.There are so many similarities between the genres and its amazing how Nepali language fits into African rhythms and jazz harmonies.All instruments played by Pravin.
