Robbie Rose

Pianist Robbie Rose was born in Michigan. A child prodigy, Rose began composing original tunes at age 13. He attended the legendary music and art High School Community High in Ann Arbor and honed his jazz skills working with the great Detroit players of the 1970s. From 1980-82 Rose attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, studying with Fred Hersch, Tom McKinnley, and Miroslav Vitous. Rose has appeared with Cab Calloway, Gil Evans, George Russel, The Rascals, Kenny Garrett, Jerry Bergonzi and David Mann, among others. He composed and recorded many commercial jingles and TV themes, including the theme for “Zoo Life Magazine” which is still airing in Europe. Rose has lived and worked in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Paris, and now resides in Sarasota, FL with his wife and son.

Played semi-professionally since 1960 with three or four swing/jazz ensembles, dixieland groups, and solo piano bars, etc. in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2013 played with a country/rock group in Matlache, a country trio in Venice, and formed All That Jazz, a quintet that has played in Venice since 2015.

Rick Costa

A recent transplant from Boston Massachusetts, drummer/percussionist Rick Costa has quickly become a fixture in the Southwest Florida music scene. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a Masters of Music in Percussion, Costa can be seen performing weekly with local and international performers throughout the west coast of Florida. Costa was recently appointed to perform at the prestigious Fort Myers Repertoire Theater in December for an extended performance of "Tenderly," a musical tribute to the life and music of Rosemary Clooney. During the day, Costa is a general music teacher in Sarasota County.

Reed player Tom Ellison is a native of the Rochester NY area and now lives in Venice, FL. He performs with area combos and big bands. As a freelance woodwind artist, Tom has performed with Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, John Denver, Henry Mancini, Andy Williams, Woody Herman and the Thundering Herd, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, Lou Rawls and many other top name artists. Currently Tom leads the modern jazz quintet Hip Pocket and plays in the Naples Jazz Orchestra for their popular Monday Night big band concert series at Cambier Park, Naples, FL.

Pete BarenBregge

Background Saxophonist, flutist and clarinetist Pete BarenBregge was born in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, the family lived in a number of locations but ended up in Wilmington, Delaware. Pete became hooked into music with the classic story of a dynamic band director and mentor, Hal Schiff, who inspired a student in whom he heard special musical talent. In high school, Pete really got in to music and achieved success on the tenor and alto saxophones, flute and clarinet and proceeded to win numerous awards at high school jazz festivals. Among the awards was a scholarship to the famed Stan Kenton Jazz Camp which became fertile ground for many jazz artists

Largely self- taught, Diane Linscott is also an active visual artist, sculptor, printmaker, jewelry designer and composer, having won awards in all disciplines. Over the last five years exploration and work in photography and encaustic painting have been emphasized with the goal of a body of mixed-media work. Her one- of- a- kind wearable art is shown at L’attitude on Newbury St. in Boston, Sarasota, and at her studios in Maine and Florida.
