Ron Carlson

Ron Carlson is a Kansas City based guitarist who enjoys playing jazz standards. He also plays guitar with a horn based classic rock band called Hard At Play. Ron recently released a new CD titled Kind Folk in memory of the jazz artists Kenny Wheeler and Charlie Haden. Kind Folk is published by the Artists Recording Collective (ARC- 2635) and includes an all star quintet and three vocalists. Some of the prominent Kansas City area venues Ron has performed at include the Blue Room at the American Jazz Museum, the Folly Theatre, college jazz recitals, country clubs, the Lucky Brewgrille Restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza and many more
