Ariane Racicot is a Montreal jazz pianist and composer who had an international success with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on Youtube, reaching over 18 million views. She first began her classical piano training at the age of 6, until she decided to switch to jazz ten years later. While pursuing her studies at Cégep St-Laurent and the University of Montreal, under the direction of Lorraine Desmarais, Luc Beaugrand, John Roney and Simon Denizart, Ariane Racicot performed few times on the Montreal jazz scene, notably at the Dièse Onze, at the Upstairs Jazz Club, as well as in Poland with Janusz Muniak

Uuskyla Øgrim Berg

Uuskyla Øgrim & Berg is a new free jazz power trio that plays improvised music with influences from jazz and rock. The band's first album Ullr received widely positive response from the contemporary jazz and impro press (see below). A concert recording from BrÖtz in Gothenburg was released on Simlas in November 2017.

As Théo Girard explains : « I grew up in a musical environment, my mother was a freelance costume designer for the opera and my father was the founding violinist of Bratsch (a famous French band) and also played in free jazz bands like Alan Silva’s Celestrial Communication Orchestra in the 80s
