Torrey Newhart

Born: 1990

Torrey Newhart is a jazz pianist and composer born in Bend, Oregon in 1990. At the early age of four years old he picked up a violin for the first time and began piano at age six. Newhart began his career in music during his sophomore year of high school, performing gigs at local venues and stages including Bebop Biscotti Coffee House, where he got his start performing regularly in front of live audiences. It was here that Torrey first began to play with bassist Corey Adkins and drummer Adam Carlson, who currently remain members of his trio. In September, 2008 having over one hundred live performances under his belt, Newhart moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend the University of Oregon’s School of Music and Dance

Samuel Parker

Sam Parker is a jazz pianist in the Hartford Ct area. He graduated from the Jackie Mclean Institute of Jazz and now works at the Hartt School of Music accompanying the jazz vocalists. He works as a freelance musician in New England and the tri-state area and performs with Ed Fast and Conga Bop, Antoinette Montague, Dana Lauren and Shawnn Monteiro among others.

Steve Christofferson

Born: November 16, 1956

Steve Christofferson started out as a garage-band guitarist but he picked up the keyboard after hearing the "White Album". Steve has played the piano in nightclubs and jazz festivals around the world with Nancy King, toured Europe with the Alan Jones Sextet, and performed in China with Mia Nicholson. He's worked with Jim Pepper, Kurt Elling, Karrin Allyson and many others. Steve is heard on recordings with Nancy King, The Metropole Orchestra and Skol Brothers, the electric quintet that features his compositions.

Fusion Point

Fusion Point is a project of the St.-Petersburg pianist Kirill Sokirko. Fusion Point continues the tradition of chamber music in a trio format, which does not so much define the number of performers as the instruments used – piano, bass, and drums. The band plays in the style of fusion – an appropriate label, given the fact that the musicians work between several sub-genres, including jazz-rock, smooth-jazz, funk, and trip hop, along with nu-jazz, lounge, and even some older genres like cool, be-bop, and mainstream/swing. However, since the contemporary understanding of fusion is more often associated with jazz-rock, some critics would say the band's style is better described as modern-jazz

Tyson Naylor

Pianist and keyboardist Tyson Naylor has firmly established himself as one of Vancouver’s most compelling musical talents. He is a member of Vancouver bands Dan Mangan, the Crackling, Francois Houle’s Living Ditches, the Tyson Naylor Trio, and the Abramson Singers, with whom he did a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2011. Tyson has made numerous appearances at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, with artists such as Tony Wilson, Bruce Freedman, and The Crackling. He’s toured throughout Canada, Germany and Poland. He has performed in Europe with Tobias Delius and Tristan Honsinger (of ICP Orchestra), Jan Roder (Schlippenbach Quartet), Christian Kögel, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Joe Williamson

Uniquely combining the superlative technique of a classical virtuoso with his prowess in jazz, world music and free improvisation, pianist, composer and arranger Matt Herskowitz has carved out a unique and personal voice in music. Over the course of the last decade, Matt has produced a series of critically-acclaimed recordings, premiered his works in settings from New York's Central Park to Germany's Köln Philharmonie, collaborated with top classical, jazz and pop artists, and has performed at music festivals across the globe. His newest release, for Justin Time Records, is Matt Herskowitz Upstairs, a solo outing ranging from Gershwin to Schumann to Dave Brubeck to originals by Herskowitz, including Bella's Lament and "Bach à la Jazz," his arrangement of Bach's Prelude in C Minor which Herskowitz previously recorded for EMI's Grammy-nominated soundtrack to The Triplets of Belleville
