Born in the humble Havana neighborhood of Cerro, during what is referred to in Cuba as “the special period” known as one of the toughest economic times in the country’s history, Dayramir’s life centered on music. His father was Afro-Cuban jazz trumpeter, Fabian Gonzalez, a driving force and inspiration as Dayramir discovered the piano at the age of 8

James Francies

He is the youngest recipient of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) President's Youth Award, DownBeat Magazine awarded him twice for Composition and Jazz Arrangement, his band opened for the legendary Jazz Crusaders reunion and he performed at Monterey Jazz Festival. Born in Austria in 1970, Otmar Binder is a pianist, singer-songwriter and composer, educated at the Vienna Hochschule (between 1978 and 1986) and later at the Vienna Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. He began working as a musician in Vienna in 1988, mainly as an accompanist for singers and actors. Touring work has led him to London, Paris, Rome, Buenos Aires, New York, Los Angeles, Prague, and major cities in Germany and Switzerland and to venues such as, amongst others, the Konzerthaus, Burgtheater, Volkstheater, Theater in der Josefstadt, and Ronacher (all in Vienna). Carmassi is a member of the Pat Metheny Unity Group (on piano, vocals and horns) and of the "Will Lee's Family" (on sax, trumpet, guitar, keys and vocals), with Steve Gadd, Chuck Loeb and Oli Rockberger.
