Leonieke Scheuble

Leonieke Scheuble is a gifted pianist and jazz organist who has a rare talent for blues and jazz improvisation at an unusually young age. Born to an engineer mother and a musician father in 2002, she was given a Dutch name after her parents lived in the Netherlands on assignment and developed an affection for Holland and the Dutch people. Her namesake is the Dutch pianist, Leonieke Vermeer. Leonieke (phonetically pronounced “lay-o-nee-ka”) started to play piano sometime after being inspired by “Ray,” a movie based on the life of Ray Charles. Without any prior musical training, she began to spend great lengths of time at the piano creating songs that were rhythmically interesting and compositionally balanced

Joshua Richman

Pianist and composer, Joshua Richman received his BA from William Paterson University in 2008. In 2010, he completed his master’s degree studying jazz piano performance at The Juilliard School. Joshua has studied jazz with piano legends such as Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Barron, and classical piano with Gary Kirkpatrick. He is a two-time winner of the ASCAP Foundation Young Jazz Composer Award. Along with leading the Joshua Richman Trio, Joshua has been fortunate to have performed with distinguished artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Terell Stafford, Randy Brecker, Peter Washington, Kenny Washington, Benny Golson, Eric Alexander, John Ellis, Harry Allen, Jeremy Pelt, and Lea Delaria

Robbie Rose

Pianist Robbie Rose was born in Michigan. A child prodigy, Rose began composing original tunes at age 13. He attended the legendary music and art High School Community High in Ann Arbor and honed his jazz skills working with the great Detroit players of the 1970s. From 1980-82 Rose attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, studying with Fred Hersch, Tom McKinnley, and Miroslav Vitous. Rose has appeared with Cab Calloway, Gil Evans, George Russel, The Rascals, Kenny Garrett, Jerry Bergonzi and David Mann, among others. He composed and recorded many commercial jingles and TV themes, including the theme for “Zoo Life Magazine” which is still airing in Europe. Rose has lived and worked in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Paris, and now resides in Sarasota, FL with his wife and son.

Michael Arbenz

Michael Arbenz has been active as leader of various bands during the last couple of years. They gave concerts throughout Europe and recorded several CDs. Internationally renowned musicians such as Greg Osby, Dave Liebman, Wolfgang Puschnig, Glenn Ferris, Muneer B. Fennell, Kent Carter, Matthieu Michel and Marc Johnson joined his activities. He also gave classical concerts with Pierre Boulez, Paul Sacher, Jürg Wyttenbach, the Ensemble Contrechamps and Hans Zehnder, just to name a few.

Harry Happel

The Dutch jazz trio INTRIODUCTION was set up in 1976 by leader Harry Happel, a fantastic self-taught piano player. The Trio got to the top in a short period of time after they had been on television and had played a lot of live jazz in the famous Dutch radio jazz program "Sesjun". After these performances, the media described INTRIODUCTION in terms such as: "exceptional class", "professional" and "swinging”. They felt honoured, after having played on the 100th, 250th and 500th broadcasting anniversary of the program, when they were asked to play in the 1000th program as well! The musical style of Harry Happel is mainstream and has been influenced by musicians like Monty Alexander, Oscar Peterson, Gene Harris etc

Piotr Orzechowski

Born in 1990, pianist and composer Piotr Orzechowski, also known as ‘Pianohooligan’ is one of the most award-winning jazz musicians of the younger generation. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has received many prizes, the most important of which was 1st Prize at the Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition (2011), which he was the first Pole to win in the legendary Swiss festival’s history. The artist is the leader of the High Definition Quartet, with which he has won several international competitions – among them, Jazz Hoeilaart in Belgium (2011) – and undertaken a collaboration with contemporary jazz trumpet giant Randy Brecker which resulted in two concert tours: in Poland (2012) and the Persian Gulf countries (2013)
