Born in Nairobi, Kenya to Goan parents (Goa is a state on India's west coast that was colonized by Portugal), Brian relocated with his family to Toronto while still an infant. From his earliest days, he enjoyed a steady diet of jazz - his father, in addition to possessing great talents in the visual arts, is a proficient jazz guitarist with a special affinity for the music of Wes Montgomery

Jihee Heo from South Korea, Jihee Heo is a New York-based jazz pianist and composer.

Heo has performed at acclaimed festivals and venues such as Smalls, Mezzrow, Zinc, Django, The Washington D.C. Jazz Festival, Leverkusen Jazz Festival, The International African Arts Festival, The Jersey Shore Festival, Bergen Pac, Harlem Stage, and Jacques Pelzer in Belgium among others.

Heo’s Nonet album “Passion” was released in 2015, offering a dynamic platform for her to fully express her artistic voice in a large ensemble format featuring soaring compositions and bold arrangements, laced with experimental music. “Passion” has been reviewed to critical acclaim by The New York City Jazz Record, MM Jazz Korea, and Grammy-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum.

Ranny Reeve

Born: May 20, 1925

Francis W. Reeve, Jr., was born May 20, 1925 on Sound Ave., Long Island, NY. He later became known as Ranny Reeve, jazz musician, piano teacher, composer, performer, husband, father, and grandfather in a lifetime of 90 years. His first recollection of his love of jazz began when he was about 8 years old, listening to the Benny Goodman orchestra performing "Sing, Sing, Sing" on the radio. From that moment on, he was hooked. Piano lessons began right away, progressed through High School in Riverhead, NY. Tyler Greenfield

Tyler Greenfield is a recording artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Jersey City, NJ. He was raised with a love for music from an early age, studying classical piano throughout his childhood under the guidance of his grandmother, pianist, and teacher Ruth Greenfield. It wasn’t until taking a break from piano altogether did he rediscover it with a newfound appreciation, spurring a mostly self-taught foray into jazz, studying favorites such as Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans. Although he considers piano his “first love,” Tyler has also been involved in the local gypsy jazz scene, studying with renowned guitarist Stephane Wrembel. As a producer, Tyler has found a home in the world between jazz and hip hop, influenced by the likes of J Dilla, Flying Lotus and Freddie Joachim

Andreas Loven

Born: October 28, 1981

Andreas Loven is a pianist and composer from Oslo, Norway, signed to the acclaimed Norwegian jazz label Losen Records. He departed from his career in engineering, moved to South Africa and ventured into jazz in his early twenties. He has since performed extensively all over South Africa with artists such as Shane Cooper, Mandla Mlangeni, Buddy Wells, Keenan Ahrends, Jonno Sweetman, Nick Williams, Romy Brauteseth, Clement Benny and others. Recent performances in Europe include Oslo Jazz Festival, Canal Street and the National Jazz Scene. In January 2015, Andreas released his debut album, Nangijala, to high critical acclaim at Losen Records

Owando Jazz Quartet

OSWANDO JAZZ QUARTET New album : towards freedom After having moved to Paris, he has recruited three great musicians to found the “Oswando Jazz Quartet” with whom he released his last album “Towards Freedom”. This album deals with people coming across during their mutual immigration trip: on one side, an afro-american jazzman called Isaac Brooks from New York and willing to break through with his music in Paris; on the other side, a Polish couple, scared by the growth of Nazism in Europe and trying to flee towards the United States. This album also pays tribute to two anti-segregation activists: Jean McNair who died in 2014 and the famous Rosa Parks. Born in Kinshasa, Oswando left with his family to France, Basse-Normandie when he was 9 and then learnt French at his arrival
