Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Alexander Dubovoy is a Berlin-based pianist, singer, and composer. He graduated from Yale University in May 2016, where he wrote an award-winning thesis on the history of jazz in the Soviet Union. After taking jazz classes with Hans Feigenwinter, he went on to study classical music with Peter Efler (piano) at the Conservatory of Music in Basel, from which he graduated with excellence in 1995 and earned his piano teacher’s diploma. Hans Lüdemann, born 1961 in Hamburg, 1978/79 in Los Angeles/California, since 1982 in Köln, 2009/10 and 2015/16 in Philadelphia/USA. Private studies with Joachim Kühn, Studies of Classical piano at the Hamburg conservatory and Jazz piano at the Musikhochschule Köln and the Banff Centre/Canada. He worked with a number of world class musicians, among them Muhal Richard Abrams, Paul Bley (Duo CD), Hayden Chisholm, Chiwoniso, Toumani Diabate, Tata Dindin, Marc Ducret, Mark Feldman, Sol Gabetta, Dobet Gnahoré, Roger Hanschel, Lee Konitz, Joachim Kühn, Albert Mangelsdorff, Phil Minton, Angelika Niescier, Yves Robert, Heinz Sauer, Gebhard Ullmann, Bobby Zankel and Eda Zari. Hans Lüdemann is a „wanderer between the worlds“ who has created first rate European ensembles with the trio ROOMS and the octet TransEuropeExpress (T.E.E.) and who makes transcultural connections between Africa, Europe and Jazz together with balaphon player Aly Keita in the Trio Ivoire

Zvjezdan Ružić, pianist, arranger and composer was born on 21 June 1988 in Rijeka, Croatia. He graduated in jazz piano at the Kärntner Landeskonservatoriumu (Austria) in the class of Prof. Rob Bargad (SAD). During high school, Ružić attended jazz seminars hosted by the pianist Emil Spany and private lessons from a well known pianist—David Gazarov. From 2009 he became a permanent member of the band Jazziana Croatica. The band has so far recorded four studio albums of which three were awarded with Porin, the most respectable Croatian discography award.
