An award winning pianist, composer and producer from Melbourne, Australia, Nathan Liow premiered his ambitious improvised work, Artifacts, as a part of Next Wave Festival, in remote-collaboration with Brooklyn-based composer and electronic artist Angus Tarnawsky. His compositions are featured on a diverse array of projects including original soundtrack for the MIFF Official Selection film "Creswick" and award-winning film "Burrow", both by acclaimed film maker Natalie James. Most recently he featured on Erica Bramham's critically acclaimed vocal jazz album "Twelve Moons". Participating in the prestigious Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music in 2014 afforded Liow the opportunity to study under the mentorship of New York pianist and composer Vijay Iyer

Kjetil Jerve

Born: August 28, 1988

Norwegian piano player, father of triplets. Based in Oslo, working internationally. DUGNAD rec artist and maker of #DailyPiano videos on Facebook and Instagram. Born 1988 in Ålesund. Played in Åse Skolekorps Marching Band. Got a really great Swedish piano teacher at age 10, who encouraged to pursue all music, not just classical. Got heavily into early Elton John, soul, funk, fusion, jazz and avant-garde - still studying George Gershwin & Béla Bartók. Played in the local Big Odd Band, leading to The Middle Norwegian Youth Big Band (Midtnorsk ungdomsstorband), meeting future collaborator Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, Kristoffer Eikrem and Dan Peter Sundland. Went to the Sund Folk College's jazz class (check that thing out!) and got to consistently playing piano with other people in bands for the first time

Jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and teacher Dan Banks is based in Medway, Kent. Although initially self-taught Dan has studied classical piano under the tutelage of Tim Carey, and jazz piano, theory, arranging, and composition with Eddie Harvey and Brian Everington. Additionally, Dan holds a Masters degree in performance (awarded with distinction) from London College of Music. Dan’s influences as a pianist are broad. His initial experience of music came from the likes of Paul Simon, The Beatles, and Ricky Lee Jones—all played a lot at home when he was a child. However, when he started formal piano lessons, these focussed entirely on the classical tradition

Scott Martin has performed professionally in a wide variety of musical styles and roles. He began his career as a studio musician in New York City working with artists including Carly Simon, Mariah Carey, Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire and Robert Lamm of Chicago.. He co-wrote and produced the title track to the album Magnetic, by Steps Ahead, featuring Dianne Reeves and Michael Brecker. Ross has performed at venues and festivals such as Kobe and Osaka, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, just to name a few. This year Ross has recording an album “The Removalist” with Legendary New York Bassist “Curtis Lundy, and Legendary Drummer “Victor Lewis” 13/2/2017 in NYC, and will be releasing the album in June 2017, the album features mostly original material, with an electrifying result, although at the same time having a musical depth and warmth, with an openness to interpretation. (“Ross’s love of the acoustic trio format”) He now looks forward to playing and touring internationally, to inspire and entertaining audiences.
