Martin Giesenow

Pianist, composer. Born in Buenos Aires, in 1947. Initially studied classical piano. Moved to jazz at about eighteen. Studied with Angel Sucheras, Guillermo Romero, Mono Fontana, Juan Raffo, and graduated as professional musician at Escuela de Musica Contemporanea. Became a friend of late Clare Fischer. Admires Michel Petrucciani, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, among others, and Claus Ogerman as arranger. Since 2016, member of BGL Jazz Quartet, with Nicolas Alvarez on tenor sax, Luciano Bonasera on bass and Matias Lococo on drums.

Attended Wilmington College, Philadelphia Music Academy and Temple University majoring in composition and orchestration with a minor in piano. I've performed and recorded with 'Philly' Joe Jones and toured with Grover Washington Jr as his first keyboardist. I've also performed with Max Roach, Donald Byrd, Rufus Harley, Archie Shepp, Stanley Clarke, Odean Pope and I've performed and recorded with renowned bassist Tyrone Brown. I've also worked with numerous local Jazz and R&B musicians. I taught Jazz piano at Settlement Music School for 17 years and was the in-house pianist at the Union League of Philadelphia for 13 years

Sarah Lancman

A multi-talented musician, Sarah Lancman is a pianist and a composer. She is one of the finest singers to discover. She starts the piano at the age of 7 and began with a classical training then a jazz one at the Paris conservatory. She becomes passionate about musical arrangement and composition and is graduated from the Haute Ecole de Musique – Departement Jazz de Lausanne in piano Jazz and singing. Since then, she took part in several famous Jazz Festivals and jazz scenes such as in Paris at the Sunset Jazz Club, Petit Journal Montparnasse, at the Jazz Festival in Monaco, in Switzerland: Chorus Jazz Club in Lausanne, Villars sur Ollon, Montreux, Verbier, Ascona , Burghausen, Luzern, in Bavaria in Burghausen, and also in Turkey at the Jazz Club les Ambassadeurs in Istanbul… In January 2015, she released her first album « Dark », produced by Blew Records Music Label and is well welcomed by critics, including that of Antoine Garance from Citizen Jazz Magazine: « Sarah Lancman is excellent in this intimate jazz atmosphere that envelops us like a sudden fog drilled by a sunbeam

Rein Godefroy

Rein Godefroy (Breda, 1982) was raised in a family filled with classical musicians. It was no surprise that he started to play the piano when he was four. After four years of playing and studying classical piano, Rein got more interested in the jazz genre. After two years of intensive jazz piano lessons with pianist John Reyna, he was accepted at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. There he studied with pianists Rob van Bavel and Juraj Stanik. In 2006 he received his masters degree and graduated with distinction. Since his graduation Rein played with numerous exiting but very diffent groups like Fullduplexx and the Paul van Kemenade Quintet and he recorded several albums which al got fantastic reviews. Inspirited by those groups and recordings Rein decided to form his own trio in 2016

Rich Rudin
Rich Rudin received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in theory and composition from Temple University. His other major area of study was piano - focusing on classical music. Rich has performed regularly throughout the Delaware Valley, playing in a wide variety of styles: classical, jazz, pop, folk, rock, etc. and has composed hundreds of works in many different musical styles including music for orchestra, chamber ensembles, solo piano and scores for several local films. His CD “Compositions” features 13 original jazz compositions showing his many musical influences. Karl Stark of the Philadelphia Inquirer, in his 3 and a half star review, calls “Compositions” a “luminous recording”, “full of bravura moments”, showing “a masterly use of color”

Graduated in 1988 at the Rotterdam Conservatory Played in a lot of bands. Made 5 cd's and a dvd with Special Delivery, a dutch modern jazz quartet. Still be seen on djazztv in Holland. Started his own trio "Kenturah's Kitchen" in 2011. Made two cd's with this group: Klick(2011) and Oeroeboeroe(2016). Got very good press reviews in Holland: "Kenturah's Kitchen gives pianotrio a new form" Ed wrote all the music for this trio. www.kenturahskitchen.com

Antoine Karacostas
Antoine Karacostas is a 34-year-old pianist of Greek origin. In 2017, he released his first album, Trails, in which he presented a repertoire of personal compositions and arrangements of traditional Greek songs, influenced by modern jazz from New York and the Middle East; a singular mix of haunting lyricism. Mitchell Leonard

Mitchell Leonard is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and Barrelhouse Jazz artist. His childhood comprised afternoons at the piano learning Gershwin preludes, and late nights quietly padding out of his room to listen to his father play drums with his jazz combo. During his teenage years, he worked as an accompanist for traveling theater companies. Since then, he has recorded several albums, played hundreds of live shows, and toured extensively. Eric Muhler

I began classical piano studies at the age of six with Jolan Kanyuk in Berkeley, California and started my first rock and roll band, The Pacers, when I was twelve years old. At Skyline High School in Oakland, California, I began to teach myself blues by listening to records of my favorites, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, and many others. In the early seventies I led a rock and roll band named Edge in and around Lake Tahoe and Reno. Returning to the East Bay I began the serious study of jazz piano, harmony and theory with Mike Nock, Bill Bell, Don Cardoza, and guitarist Dave Creamer

Herborg Rundberg
Herborg Rundberg (b.1974) studied classical music and jazz/pop/rock at the Arctic Univesity of Norway. Her commissioned work for the Riddu Riđđu festival resulted in her solo-debut (Árbi released 2010) as a pianist and composer. Besides LEAGUS Herborg is also working with various other artists and bands located i Tromsø, such as Mara & The Inner Strangeness. LEAGUS started out as Herborg's main project as a part of her Master Studies in performing arts in Tromsø.
