Dave Herridge

Born: March 24, 1940

Dave was born on 24 March 1940 and was classically trained in piano from the age of 6, studying with Marie Gardner LRAM, Kathleen Long FRCM CBE, Jacques Fevrier CNSP and jazz greats Art Simmonds and Aaron Bridgers. Over a career spanning five decades David has played at a number of renowned venues in Paris and London including the Savoy, Ritz, Dorchester, Hilton Park Lane and Clifton Ford Hotels in London and the Crillon in Paris. He has also combined his passion for Jazz and love of Paris, now his home, by playing a large number of the city’s renowned jazz clubs including "Le Chat Qui Peche", Les Trois Maillets" and La Cigale with Jack Butler and Benny Walters and occasional invited guests such as Milt Hinton and Albert Nicholas. ​ Dave has also pursued a distinguished academic career in the UK heading two high school music departments as well as, later in his career, providing music and drama coaching to children with special needs and piano tuition at the BRIT school of performing arts in Croydon, UK. In recent years, following retirement from teaching, Dave has toured with the Pete Allen Dixieland Jazz Band and continues to make resident and guest appearances at small venues near his home in Paris such as Le Petit Journal (Montparnasse and St Michel), Au Point de Salut and Le Caveau de la Huchette.

Born: September 17, 1993

Walter Gorra is an award-winning pianist, composer and arranger based out of the New York/New Jersey metro area. Currently 26 years old, Walter graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder Magna Cum Laude and High Honors in May 2017 with the following three degrees – MS Structural engineering, BM Jazz Piano and BS Civil Engineering. He then pursued a master’s degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging at William Paterson University, graduating in May 2019. In 2016, Walter led his Colorado quartet in a two-month residency at the Denver jazz club – Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club; performing his original music and arrangements

Hoyle Osborne

Hoyle Osborne — pianist, composer, arranger, producer, director, also plays mandolin, guitar, banjo, recorder, and pennywhistle — centered on American vernacular styles — ragtime, stride piano, early jazz and blues, old-time country music, folk, western swing — also plays and arranges Celtic, Latin, French, and other world styles, plus renaissance and baroque music. Hoyle and singer-songwriter-guitarist Jane Voss have performed and recorded together since 1976, appearing across North America and in England at many major music festivals, countless concerts, and on a number of National Public Radio programs

Norvald Dahl

Born: September 7, 1978

Norwegian born pianist Norvald Dahl (b.1978) just finished his master degree at the highly acclaimed ´Norwegian academy of music´ in Oslo. He has been touring and playing professionally for the past ten years, and is associated with groups like the "Wayne Brasel Quartet" and his own quartet, the "Norvald Dahl trio plus Jon Irabagon". Dahl grew up with folk music and discovered the piano at early age. He soon discovered improvisation and found jazz to be the perfect vehicle for his expression. In his playing he combines influences from legends like Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans, and blends with lyricism from Norwegian folk music and a classical tone on the piano.

Tim Stevens and Shelley Scown

Born: October 23, 1971

Tim Stevens (piano) and Shelley Scown (voice) first worked together at the end of Tim's undergraduate degree in 1992. They had engagements after that at Melbourne jazz clubs and at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, and in 2000 recorded a session for Jim McLeod's Jazztrack (ABC Classic FM). Music from this recording, intermixed with pieces recorded the previous evening in a private solo recital, have been released in 2018 as 'this autumn year', available digitally only through Bandcamp.

Joseph A Roberts

Born: March 1, 1964

Joseph was born with an insatiable drive to play the piano. Once he was tall enough to reach the keyboard, he went at it until his parents had no choice but to procure adequate training. After a few years of public school, Joseph noticed that he would be routinely pulled out of class to provide music for rehearsals and assemblies. Who wouldn’t milk that for all it’s worth? By the time he finished elementary school, Joseph played cello in the orchestra, trumpet in the band and he sang in the choir. Jerry Pellegrino

Jerry Pellegrino grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey (USA).  A born musician, he started taking piano lessons at age 8.  In high school he added drums to his repertoire, and with his brother Jim went on to study at the prestigious Harlem Jazz Mobile in New York. Jerry moved out to the West coast in 1979, where he quickly established himself as a performer and teacher in the Los Angeles area.  Still only in his 20's, he appeared in the 1984 Summer Olympics opening ceremonies, For the last 25 years, Jerry has been dedicated to teaching full time, bringing his love of music to the next generation of performers.  Jerry is a firm believer in the power of music to better the lives of those less fortunate than he.  Since 2011, he has headlined annual benefit concerts at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, in order to raise money for the R.B

Cy Coleman

Born: June 14, 1929

Cy Coleman (born Seymour Kaufman) was an American composer, songwriter, and jazz pianist. Coleman was born Seymour Kaufman on June 14, 1929, in New York City to Eastern European Jewish parents, and was raised in the Bronx. His mother, Ida (née Prizent) was an apartment landlady and his father was a brickmason.[1] He was a child prodigy who gave piano recitals at venues such as Steinway Hall, the Town Hall, and Carnegie Hall between the ages of six and nine.[2] Before beginning his fabled Broadway career, he led the Cy Coleman Trio, which made many recordings and was a much-in-demand club attraction.
