Lou Walinsky

Lou Walinsky is a pianist whose primary focus has been creating and performing solo piano arrangements based on a wide variety of songs.  His background includes extensive study of both classical and jazz piano - with extraordinary teachers that included Roland Hanna, Jimmy Giuffre, and Hank Jones.  Lou has worked in jazz, pop, and klezmer ensembles for over 40 years.  He has given solo performances throughout his career, as he worked on his concepts of arranging and improvising with songs, that have develped in his Piano Works concerts.  He loves creating these arrangements and is excited to share them with live in-person audiences.  He has produced two solo albums:  Lou Walinsky Piano Arrangements: Original Interpretations of Standards (2018) and Music From Many Places (1996). Lou has also taught piano privately, taught music in Philadelphia Public Schools, and performed music programs for both children and for senior citizens.

Emma Grace Stephenson

Emma Grace Stephenson is an Australian pianist and songwriter who has shared the stage with prolific musicians and bands such as Ingrid and Christine Jensen (Canada/US), Gian Slater, the Sirens Big Band, Sandy Evans, Greg Gould (Australia’s Got Talent 2013), and Brittanie Shipway (The Voice 2014). Her music combines rhythmic, harmonic, and improvisatory elements of modern jazz with folk-pop songwriting influences.

After performing her own compositions at the Sydney Opera House with Hieronymus Trio and the acclaimed Australian vocalist Kristin Berardi, Emma won the 2017 Freedman Jazz Fellowship for Australian jazz musicians under the age of 35. Emma was also the 2016 recipient of the Jann Rutherford Memorial Award for young women in the Australian jazz scene, which facilitated a collaboration with the award winning Australian vocalist, Gian Slater, culminating in performances for the Melbourne and Sydney Women’s Jazz Festivals, and a recording at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) studios in late 2016. This work was released in an album titled 'Where the Rest of the World Begins' in April 2017.

Rafa Selase is an American soul and jazz pianist, musician, artist and songwriter most notably known for his work as a spoken-word performer and jazz pianist. His initial release, Meditation Music By Rafa Selase, reached #8 on the Billboard New Age Relaxation charts. He then followed that with a series of singles, and the "Red Blooded American" Album, which released on 9/11/2017. Rafa Selase has two terms for himself: one being "jazz activist" and the other being "student." Arthur Possing

Arthur Possing is a young Luxembourgish pianist. Born in 1996, he grew up in a family, where music takes an important role and was omnipresent at home. He started classical percussion at the age of 6 and classical piano at the age of 10, later in the class of well-known pianist Jean Muller. In 2009, he began jazz piano with Marc Mangen and in 2011, vibraphone with Guy Cabay. In 2016, after finishing secondary school, he began further studies in jazz piano at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with Eric Legnini. The Arthur Possing Quartet was formed in 2013. The members of the group met in highschool (music section) and soon they started to play together regularly. In 2017, the musicians are originally from Germany, France and Luxembourg and have studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood near Paris, and at the Musikhochschule Mannheim. Their repertoire consists of own compositions, as well as tunes of jazzmen they really appreciate. The quartet plays modern jazz, with influences from all genres, without forgetting the tradition. In 2017, the quartet recorded its first album, which will be released in the beginning of 2018.

David Sancious was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on November 30th 1953 to Jimmie and Stelma Sancious. David’s father was an electronics engineer and his mother a school teacher. An early interest in music was shown when at 4 years old David was able to pick out a few notes on a small plastic guitar his parents had given him, and play along to a Calypso record his father used to play frequently. Two years later when the family relocated from Asbury Park to Belmar ,N.J. , a piano was included along with the purchase of the new house. Noel Freidline is a 1991 graduate of the University of North Florida, BA in Music (magna cum laude). A pianist, vocalist, writer, arranger and educator, Noel has been the leader of his own group since 1991. As the leader of the Noel Freidline Quintet for the last 26 years, Freidline has recorded 8 CDs, performed at jazz festivals as diverse as the Jacksonville (FL) Jazz Festival to the Bethlehem (PA) Musikfest to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, held down a three-year house band position at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and performed for actress Julia Roberts’ surprise 35th birthday party
