Charlie Banacos
Born:
Charlie was a pianist (performances with Roy Haynes, Teddy Kotick, Charlie Mariano, Harvie S., and Jerry Bergonzi), composer (World Premier of "Pelaghia" - Carnegie Recital Hall, 1984), author ("Tonal Paralypsis", etc.), and educator (since 1959) in both jazz and classical idioms. His students have performed or recorded with Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Maynard Ferguson, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, David Liebman, Wayne Shorter, and Joe Henderson, among others. The correspondence courses of Charlie Banacos continue to be taught via online lessons with Garry Dial and Barbara Banacos. These courses began their fruition in the late 1950's and 60's and continued to be taught and developed until Charlie's passing in December of 2009

Dariusz Petera
DARIUSZ PETERA - musician, pianist, composer. Team leader: Petera Sextet and jazz-rock band Fusion Generation Project. He has two albums in his discography: signed with his name "Flashover" (Lydian Series / Requiem Records, 2019), recorded with the team of Petera Sextet and "No Fusion" (Allegro Records, 2013), registered with the Fusion Generation Project team, which featured the American trumpeter Michael "Patches" Stewart. He is a graduate of the Original School of Popular Music and Jazz K. Komeda in Warsaw in the arrangement class of prof. Lucjan Kaszycki and piano by Wojciech Kamiński. He also studied at the excellent jazz pianist Janusz Skowron. Laureate of the 3rd Place in the 5th International Competition for Jazz Composition 2018 as part of the 13th edition of the Silesian Jazz Festival (Katowice 2018)

Takahiro Izumikawa

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan on October 18, 1986. Izumikawa started working as professional musician in Osaka for 4 years while attending an university. After graduating, he went to New York, and played with various musicians and in particular, was inspired by Bill Mays, who is a regular pianist for Phil Woods. In 2011, he went back to Tokyo and formed a label and an 8-piece jazz group called "King Columbia," and released two albums that are being sold at major music chains such as Tower Records and Village Vanguard. The band was invited to play at the most prestige rock festival in Japan, Fuji Rock Festival in 2011. Izumikawa established himself as a first-call piano player and the band member for not only major jazz musicians but also artists of pop music (J-POP) and participated in numerous national tours and recording sessions

Alec Castro is a Mexican pianist, composer and arranger established in the city of New York since 2010. He is an active member of the music scene in the New York area. He has performed in important venues such as Dizzy's Coca Cola Club, Jazz at Lincoln Center atrium, Minton's, Aaron Davis Hall, Shea Center for the Performing Arts, Shapeshifter Lab, Tutuma Social Club, Bonafide Club, Trumpets Jazz Club, among others. Moreover, he has participated as guest conductor and arranger for the jazz orchestras One More Once Big Band, The WP Jazz Orchestra featuring Joe Lovano, Ventspils Jazz Orchestra and CCNY Large Ensemble

Tamara Mozes
The singer-pianist Tamara Mozes took her degree in piano at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music of Budapest (2007). She continued her studies in jazz singing and improvisation at the Regional Conservatory of Paris (2009-2012) and after in Antwerp, Belgium (2016-2017). Scholarship holder of the French Government (2011), prizewinner of several international competitions, she gives concerts on a regular basis and performs at festivals. After her first album (’In Spring’, 2010) she recorded her second disc (’Album Of The Ear’, 2014) in Paris with French jazzmen. In 2012 she made a 3-week concert tour in the USA. Her new solo album 'Moozing' (vocals, piano, composition) released in 2017 by the French label Yolk Records. Tamara’s music takes inspiration from jazz, pop, chanson and composed music

Aaron Rimbui

Harun "Aaron" Kimathi Rimbui is a Kenyan pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, producer, festival curator and radio host. He is regarded as one of East Africa's finest pianists. Aaron was born in Nairobi, Kenya. Rimbui's ear for music was displayed while still a toddler. His father would play everything from Stevie Wonder records to Henry Mancini and take him to local restaurants where he heard the music of groups like Les Wanyika, Maroon Commandos and Samba Mapangala. This had a significant influence on how he developed his sound in later years. Rimbui's individual expression in music continued to form in his high school years

Born:
Chris Lomheim is an award-winning jazz pianist and composer who has been active in the Twin Cities jazz scene for more than 30 years. As leader of the Chris Lomheim Trio, he has produced three CDs: “And You’ve Been Waiting?” (1994), featuring all original compositions; “The Bridge” (2002), featuring a mix of originals and standards; and “Timeline” (2014), featuring original compositions. Chris is a member of the all-original jazz group The Illicit Sextet, which has also produced three CDs, “Chapter One” (1993), “Chapter 11” (2013), and “Addendum” (2016). He received a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist’s Initiative grant in 2014
