Dennis W Mellen

Originally raised in Gurnee, Il; Dennis started playing piano by ear at 8 years old, picking tunes out at the piano and early instruction from his mother. By 11 years, he started formal lessons with Art Peck; studying classical compositions and theory, and later expanding into Jazz and big band. While attending Warren Township High School in Gurnee, he distinguished himself by earning top music awards, not only on piano, but on drums and percussion as well. He was also a participant in Steinway auditions, placing highly in the Chicago area. AIR FORCE BANDS After graduation from high school, Dennis joined the Air Force and became a member of the Air Force Bands for 11 years

Ferd (as he is known by friends and colleagues) has been an improvisational musician and composer since a very young age; fascinated with the piano since age 2 (STILL figuring out this instrument - and, thank you Aunt Kay), singing since age 3 (thank you Aunt Brenda), drumming since age 4 (STOP beating on the table, FERD!!), playing various brass instruments since age 9 (at least two of those horns were LARGER then ME!), guitar since age 10 (remaining truly SCARY on air-guitar! ;). He grew up (well, continues to grow up) as a pianist, keyboardist, percussionist, and multi-instrumentalist, working primarily in classical, neoclassical, jazz, rock, electronic, funk, and experimental music genres

Francesca Han

Pianist Francesca Han’s music captures both the subtle affectivity of classical music and the uninhibited effusiveness of rock. Having studied both, she has now developed an approach to jazz that leaves a foot planted in tradition while reaching for unique expression.
After achieving rapid success in her native Korea, she was encouraged to move to New York City in 2004. There she received her master’s degree in jazz performance from Queens College under the tutelage of pianists David Berkman and Bruch Barth, trumpeter and arranger Michael Mossman, and saxophonist Antonio Hart.

Bill Beach

Bill Beach has performed with many jazz legends including Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Eddie Harris, Nat Adderley, Mark Murphy and Howard Roberts. He has studied with Marian McPartland, Jack DeJohnette and Warren Bernhardt. Bill has performed in Japan, Mexico, and many European countries. In 2002 Bill began serious study of Brazilian music and the Portuguese language. His well received 2004 release “Letting Go” included 5 vocal interpretations of Brazilian classics as well as 5 of his original instrumental compositions. He made his first trip to Brazil in 2006 where he met and performed with many Brazilian musicians

Luke Carlos O'Reilly

Luke Carlos O’Reilly has always had a passion for music. Whether it be Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel, Latin Jazz, Classical or any other genre, Luke was drawn to good music at an early age. When he was four years old, he and his mother started taking group piano lessons together. By age ten he had began to study the saxophone as well. It was the introduction of Oscar Peterson’s music at the age of fourteen that steered Luke in the direction of Jazz. Until then, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Earth, Wind and Fire and Otis Redding had been his heaviest influences. Through years of practicing and support from his family, Luke became well known on the music scene in the Boston area, where he spent most of his childhood

William Evans
Jazz pianist William Evans was born in Detroit. He started out playing in the church and later studied under trumpet player Marcus Belgrave. He went on to work in Detroit with local greats Roy Brooks, Robert Hurst and Tami Tabbal. Evans toured with pop star Mary Wilson, formerly of The Supremes. In the mid-1980s Evans performed with Dizzy Gillespie and Jimmy Witherspoon Currently, Evans divides his time between Basel Switzerland, where he is a longtime faculty member at the Swiss Jazz School, and St. Petersburg, FL where he maintains a residence. While in Florida, Evans works with drummer/vocalist Patricia Dean at various venues on the southwest coast. Kobo Concept

Kobo Concept was created by three young Parisian jazz musicians in 2007. The band tries to take some punk rock energy into the classic jazz piano/bass/drums formula, yet retaining the lesson of all the great trios in the history of Jazz music. Intensity, « in your face » sound and great melodic sense co-exist in Kobo Concept's compositions. Their first album "Punk Zen" was produced in 2010 and released in the beginning of 2011 by Sound Nexus records. The band is currently touring in France and Italy.
