Cornwall based and internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Simon Latarche has been providing quality music for events and festivals throughout the last twenty years. Classically trained, he is equally at home in Jazz, Pop or Classical genres and able to provide a range of ensembles from solo piano, through duos, trios and on to larger jazz line ups. Original compositions ‘Cornish Preludes’ have been broadcast on radio worldwide. The Simon Latarche quartet performs at jazz clubs throughout the South West and Simon is also known for his versatility in providing personal music packages for the perfect wedding, private or corporate event.

Jon Raney

Born:

Jon Raney was born in New York City in 1961. Son of guitar legend Jimmy Raney and brother of Steeplechase recording artist Doug Raney. Studied jazz piano with Kenny Barron, Cedar Walton and Michael Wolff, arranging and counterpoint with arranger Arthur Harris. Jon Raney worked several years for the 92nd Street Y School of the Arts Music dept and is on staff at The New School for Jazz in addition to teaching jazz piano and compostion privately. He received his B.A. in Music from Hunter College in 1985. Jon has performed in much talked about engagements with brother and guitarist, Doug Raney at Birdland and Zinc Bar

Walter Spicy Bland

Walter Bland was born into a family of artists in Springfield, Massachusetts. Bland studied at Emerson College, Berklee College of Music and the Springfield Conservatory of Music in Massachusetts. While studying at Berklee College, Bland was introduced to the music of many cultures, and met musicians from around the world, which reflects in his work today. It was during his time at Emerson that Bland was introduced to Steve Hemingway, the first black writer in television history, for CBS Playhouse 90. Bland composed the music for producer Hemingway’s show “Brother love,” which was the first African American sitcom produced by African Americans in the history of television

Born in Bowral, Australia, and raised in Sydney, Melbourne, Woolongong and Adelaide, Matthew became interested in jazz performance and composition towards the end of high school and in 2003 (11th grade) received the Jack De Vos Scholarship for single studies at the Elder Conservatorium. In 2004 Matthew toured with his quartet across the USA performing his original music. Upon Graduating at the University of Adelaide in 2008 with first class honors, he had received the Most Outstanding Pianist award in his 2nd year, Most Outstanding Undergraduate in 3rd year, Most Outstanding Honors Graduate in final year and was the only music student (from all disciplines in the Elder Conservatorium) to be awarded the Adelaide University Medal for Academic Excellence (humanities category)

Alan Jay Palmer or BAP ( Bad Alan Palmer) was born in Washington D.C. and attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Alan was exposed to Jazz piano through his first teacher John Malachi and listening to Thelonious Monk , Mingus, and John Coltrane recordings that a neighborhood friend had. At that time, Alan was beginning to play around D.C. with different Go Go bands and developing his Jazz ...chops at Lettumplay w/ Fred Foss, Webster Young and other D.C .Jazz Legends. Mário Laginha

Working as a musician for more than twenty years, Mário Laginha is usually connoted to the jazz world. But, if it’s true that in the beginning he followed a predominantly jazzy path – he was one of the founders of the Sexteto de Jazz de Lisboa (1984), he created the Mário Laginha Decateto (1987) and he leads his own trio, - the musical universe he has constructed with singer Maria João is a tribute to all the music he loves – beginning with jazz, but including Brazilian, Indian and African music, pop, rock and, of course, the classical basis that was present in his academic studies and that would influence his first solo project, inspired by Bach’s music (Songs and Fugues, 2006). Johanna Pitkänen

Johanna Pitkänen is a pianist and composer from Helsinki. She has explored the musical globe from Scandinavia to Cuba and from different parts of Africa to Spain. Pitkänen writes music by commission and performs on solo piano and with duos and trios. Her oldest ongoing group is Kokko Quartet, a Finnish jazz group using world music influences in their music. The group has released two albums, their latest release is Orient Express from 2016. Pitkänen also writes music for film. In 2019 she released electronic music together with producer Satu Nieminen Pitkänen graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor’s degree in Pop and Jazz Music

Kekko Fornarelli is one of the most widely appreciated young pianists internationally. His unique ways of balancing an endless research with universal usability, and his ability to draw the profanes up to that foreign thing called jazz makes him one of the most eclectic and pervasive artists in the current international music scene. His unique style is characterized by its attempt to create music to observe, more than just to listen to. A way to tell stories, emotions and situations. Numerous are his collaborations with prestigious Italian and international jazz artists : Rosario Giuliani, Flavio Boltro, Michel Benita, Francesco Bearzatti, Luca Bulgarelli, Yuri Goloubev, Benjamin Henocq, Nicolas Folmer, Jerome Regard, Manhu Roche, Andy Gravish, Eric Prost, Marco Tamburini, Jean-Luc Rimey Meille. BIO Kekko Fornarelli was born in Bari, Italy in 1978. He began learning classical piano at the age of three, first through private tuition and later at the Conservatorio Piccinni in Bari. Fornarelli’s love for jazz music began at the age of 18
