Diana Wayburn

Diana Wayburn (pianist/flautist/composer) attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Indiana’s Bloomington School of Music as a Piano Performance Major. She has worked as a jazz pianist, an accompanist and improviser for modern dance studios, and as a composer, musician, and arranger for numerous theater productions in NYC. She has composed choral works for services at St. Mark’s Church on the Bowery and has presented original work in NYC at Judson Memorial Church, The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, The Gershwin Hotel, the Arts for Art “In Garden” series, Somethin’ Jazz Club, Firehouse Space, Silvana and Shrine. She has just completed her 3rd CD “Dances of the World” which is a mix of world music (rhythms from Guinea and a tango) and classical music and jazz adapted for chamber orchestra

Scott W. Hallgren

Born: June 29

After a two decade career as a touring and studio musician, Scott began what has become a busy film scoring and arranging career. He also continues writing original jazz & Brazilian flavored pieces for himself and other artists. An Emmy nominee in 2026 for music composition, Scott was also an 8 year Grammy voter and board member of the Nashville Composers' Association. His first album "Tango/Jazz", featuring all original music, was released on the Magnatune label in 2010 and has garnered over 5 million plays on Spotify. His latest release, SCORES (2015-2025) is a genre-bending compilation album which represents his diverse and compelling work across a decade of film, TV, and game scores

Al Scott

Born: February 5, 1984

The Al Scott Trio features HENRY GILBERT on Double Bass & MARCO QUARANTOTTO on Drums. The Trio recorded their first album together called 'Introducing the Al Scott Trio' which was released November 2011. The album is available for digital download on this website.

Utar Artun

Born: 1987

Utar Artun was born in Ankara, Turkey . In 2006, he arranged musical pieces for the theater play “The 7 Women”. Artun arranged many movie soundtracks and oldies for symphonic orchestra, and the Bursa Regional Symphony Orchestra performed his arrangements and compositions in live concerts such as the 2008-2011 New Year Concert and the International Bursa Music Festival in 2009. Artun performed in 7th Eskisehir Jazz Festival, 12th International Ankara Jazz Festival, 6th International Mersin Music Festival and 25th International Ankara Music Festival. In 2008, Artun graduated from Percussion Department of Hacettepe Conservatory with 2nd Rank (runner-up) Degree of School Placement Award

Andrew Boniwell

Born: January 28, 1955

Andrew has been a professional piano player on the Torontojazz scene since 1980. A frequent participant in theDowntown Toronto Jazz Festival he has also appeared atthe Distillery Jazz Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, Guelph JazzFestival and the Barrie Jazz Festival. Andrew has performedwith the Juno award-winning contemporary jazz orchestraNOJO, and plays with many of Toronto's finest jazzmusicians including Richard Underhill (JUNO winner 2003),Mike Murley (multiple JUNO winner), Kevin Turcotte, MichaelOcchipinti (NOJO), Barry Romberg and Quinsin Nachoff(now based in NYC).

Andrew newest project is his quintet, Andrew Boniwell andThe Uncertainty Principle. His first CD with this unit,Boomerang was released in 2011. It features finely craftedand groovy compositions with a varied rhythmic palette and afront line of Richard Underhill (alto sax) and Kevin Turcotte(trumpet).

Tom White

Born: September 5, 1987

Tom White double-majored at the University of Rhode Island in B.S. Biological Sciences and B.A. Jazz Studies. He has been playing the piano since the age of four. Tom studied with several teachers during his childhood before studying for five years with grammy-nominated pianist Joseph Parillo at URI. He has also begun studies with Paul Nagel. During recent years Tom has amassed a growing body of original instrumental music. During the summer of 2010 eight of his earlier tunes were recorded as Tom's debut effort titled "Portrait of a Blue Man". The album is beginning to see airplay on NPR-member radio stations as well as college radio broadcasts. Tom White performs regularly with guitarist Alex Curnow, bassist Kyle Barboza, and drummer Paul DiMartino in The Wayout, a quartet focused on bringing adventurous original music to their audiences

Oren Levine

Oren Levine grew up with a love of music, especially jazz, inherited from his father. He started piano lessons as an eight-year-old in Washington, DC, and continued to play while earning two engineering degrees and building a career as an engineer and technology manager. He wrote his first song at age 45 in a summer jazz workshop in Vermont.

Oren released his first album of original songs, “Making Up For Lost Time,” in 2018. His song “Let’s Wander” from the album won him the 2023 ASCAP Foundation Alan and Marilyn Bergman Lyric Award. The title track won a Finalist award in the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

Andy Kahn

Born: July 23, 1952

Andy Kahn is committed to preserving America’s unique musical art form, “JAZZ and the STANDARD SONG.” For more than 40 years, he has researched works of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin and other American songwriters who provided the foundation for Swing and Jazz, America’s enduring unique contribution to music and the arts. Andy performs his “Music by Intention” concerts in theaters and nightclubs. He lectures at educational institutions about owning and operating a recording studio and music production. Andy weaves his musical spell on audiences attending his educational and entertainment events

Jerry Tolson

Born: 1954

Jerry Tolson has been a member of the music faculty at the University of Louisville since 1993. As professor of jazz studies and music education, he directs instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles and teaches jazz pedagogy, jazz style, and jazz history classes. As a performer on keyboards, woodwinds, and vocals, Tolson leads three of his own groups and has worked with such popular artists as the Temptations, Four Tops, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, and Manhattan Transfer, and with jazz artists Delfeayo Marsalis, Don Braden, Antonio Hart, Rufus Reid, Kevin Mahogany, Sunny Wilkinson, Pete Christlieb, Phil Wilson, James Moody, Benny Golson, Grace Kelly, and Marvin Stamm
