Paolo Pavan

Born:
Paolo Pavan was born in Rome in 1970. He has been studying jazz since he was a child. He achieved the degree in piano and pursued his classical studies with Kostantin Bogino. In 2000 achieves an ethnomusicology degree at Sapienza University. In 2008 participates in the workshop of the pianist Kenny Barron at the Tuscia Jazz festival. Since late 80s he has been playing with several folk, rock, pop and jazz band in Rome and collaborate in studio recordings projects. He played in numerous musical festivals like "The Eddie Lang Jazz festival", "Fabbricando festival", "Se telefonando festival". In 2000 was finalist for the "TIM international music festival"

Dominic J Marshall

Dominic John Marshall – Pianist/composer/beatmaker from Wiltshire, England. After studying classical piano for 10 years with his father Mark Marshall, Dominic was awarded the Alan Hawkshaw scholarship to study jazz at Leeds College of Music. By summer 2010 his graduation recital had won him the LCM Piano Prize. After being accepted on to the Masters course at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in autumn of the same year, Dominic was lucky enough to receive guidance from the likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel, Brad Mehldau and Ambrose Akinmusire. His first trio CD The Oneness was recorded, self-produced and released in this time, Chris Parker of LondonJazz calling it ‘a striking debut’. Australian born Jazz Pianist Matt Baker leads a powerful trio in New York City where he has called home since 2010, performs regularly as a sideman at jazz venues including Birdland and The Blue Note, and in 2017 released his latest DVD album “Live at Birdland”. His sideman credits include engagements with guitar icon Bucky Pizzarelli, tenor saxophonist Joel Frahm and vocalists Ann Hampton Callaway, Jennifer Holliday, Patti LaBelle, Veronica Swift (2015 Monk competition winner), Tierney Sutton, Arianna Neikrug (2015 Sarah Vaughan competition winner) and Judy Collins. Renato Diz

Renato Diz is a Portuguese pianist, composer and producer based in New York. Born in Porto, Portugal, Renato studied classical piano exclusively for 12 years, under the tutelage of Dr. Rui Pintão, at Fundação Conservatório Regional de Gaia. A chance encounter with jazz at a concert by pianist and composer Carlos Azevedo, introduced him to the world of improvised music and he decided to pursue his studies in this art. In 2004 he became a private student of Carlos Azevedo and in 2006 he was accepted in the leading jazz program on the Iberian Peninsula at the time, for a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Performance at ESMAE - IPP in Porto

Alan Brown

Alan Brown is an established jazz pianist within New Zealand, from having led a highly successful jazz-funk band in the 90’s - Blue Train (1996 Jazz Album of the Year winner), through to having been a core member of The Grand Central Band. He is currently a member of Nathan Haines' 'Dream Band' and works regularly with artists such as Caitlin Smith. Alan’s varied musical influences has spawned projects such as the Hammond Organ-based Alan Brown Trio, who released ‘About That Time’ through Ode Records in 2007; as well as downtempo electronica under the name Mistake Theory, which attracted large internet success on mp3.com in 2000. It is this combination of styles as well as Alan’s love of classical, rock and world music, that has culminated in the current project - a contemporary and fresh blend of influences that could be defined ‘jazz’, but is also something else…

Ricardo Pinto is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer born in Portugal in 1990.
In 2013, Ricardo graduated from ESMAE – Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo (Portugal) with a degree in Jazz Piano. He was a student of Abe Rábade (Jazz) and Serghei Covalenco (Classical), among others, and has attended masterclasses with Ben Street, Dan Weiss, Danilo Perez, Rudresh Mahantappa, Jacob Sacks, John Escreet, Ohad Talmor, Pedro Estevan, Robert Lowe, etc.
