William K Carroll

Born:

Born near Washington, D.C., Bill Carroll moved to Canada in 1968 at the age of 16. He discovered jazz, through such fusion artists as Frank Zappa, in his late teens, and began writing music in his 20s while completing a PhD in sociology at York University in Toronto. His music is politically inflected to the left, and many of his performances have been at political rallies. He also brings his music into teaching sociology at he University of Victoria, where he has been a professor since 1981 and currently directs the Interdisciplinary Program in Social Justice Studies.

Marialy Pacheco

Marialy Pacheco represents the next generation of emerging cuban musicians. Her music is a fine balance between Cuban tradition, jazz and her classical training. She brings the piano to life with an immense talent for highly nuanced improvisation. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1983, Marialy began her musical education at the age of seven studying piano in one of Cuba’s most prestigious Conservatoriums (Alejandro Garcia Caturla Conservatorium). At the age of 15 she was accepted into the National School of Arts (Escuela Nacional de Artes) in Havana, studying under Olga Valiente. At the age of 20 she was accepted into the National University of Arts in Havana, (Instituto Superior de Artes de la Havana) where she studied under Tulio Peramo for three years. At the age of fifteen she was invited to Asturias, Spain, for her first international performance at the Festival de Jovenes Talentos

Joe Delaney

Joe Delaney was born in Brockton, Mass. and grew up in Whitman, just south of Boston. Joe’s father Ed Delaney was also a pianist. Joe started playing at age 3, learning by ear from records, family parties and his father’s band rehearsals. Joe says, “I picked it up and still play about 90% by ear.” Joe started formal instruction and began performing in pubic at the age of 5. Joe says, “Once we started little kid tunes, I’d hear the teacher play it and put about 15 minutes into my lesson and just mimic it back.” He was soon spending hours a day learning popular tunes and George Shearing hits he heard during the band rehearsals. Later, Joe studied briefly with Kurt Wenzel, Charlie Banocos, Kenny Barron and Berklee piano professor Paul Schmeling

Pete Wallace

Born:

Pete Wallace is an accomplished pianist, producer and composer who makes his home in South Florida. He has toured playing keyboards with artists such as Julio Iglesias, La Ley and Jon Secada taking him to over 50 countries. In addition to his touring work, Pete has recorded with some of the top artists in the music business including Herbie Hancock, P!nk, Alejandro Sanz, Jessica Simpson and the Backstreet Boys to name a few. Pete is also an accomplished songwriter, co-writing on songs with artists such as P!nk, Teddy Geiger and Ryan Cabrera that have sold over 8 million copies. As well as with international artists, Pete enjoys playing locally in South Florida in a variety of groups and producing and writing with local singer/songwriters. After many years of working on other people’s music, in July of 2011 Pete finally released a jazz album of his own entitled, “Roots”

Lourenco Pezzuti

He was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and he began his musical studies at five years of age. He is graduated in piano with top marks by Conservatorio Drammatico Musical "Conselheiro Lafayette" in "São Paulo -Brazil " and he kept improving his Piano studies with Magda Tagliaferro. He studied classic organ and classical guitar, instrument which he has played in many recordings of album Musica Popular Brasileira. Lourenço Pezzuti has a long work experience, he plays different styles of music having the Brazilian music like his principal influence. Like composer and arranger he made important works which some of them were used in various jingle from Rai-Tv (Italy) and Tv-Cultura (Brazil). He was pianist and arranger of famous group "Brasil Tropical", with them he toured in many cities of the world ,and he has accompanied some artists in Japan and United States. Lourenco was professor in many musical school in Brazil, France and Italy teaching and giving workshops of brazilian music.

Rob Pasternak

Rob Pasternak is a pianist, composer, singer, and lyricist born and raised (for the most part) in Baltimore, MD. Rob started studying classical piano at the age of eight. He then began studying at the renowned Peabody Institute's Preparatory Program at the age of nine, and was composing piano works by the age of thirteen. After a two-year stint in Cincinnati, during which he studied under Brad Caldwell (University of Miami, OH), Rob attended Williams College, from which he graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Music (with highest honors), having learned from and performed with such talented musicians and teachers as Andy Jaffe, Erik Lawrence, Freddie Bryant, Lew Tabackin, Don Braden, and Gary Smulyan, among others

His Grandmother Susan Fiumara was an accomplished classical pianist, and opera singer studying 12 years at the Conservatory of Naples Italy, teaching all the way into her 80's, this is where Dino began his early piano instruction. Dino's Father was an excellent Jazz Bassist, who was an in demand player in Pittsburgh for over 30 yrs, owner of Fiumara's teaching studios for nearly 40 yrs. and the Manufacture and CEO of BSX BASS
