Matt Endahl

Born: January 22, 1985

Matt Endahl is a jazz pianist, composer and educator. He has become one of Nashville's most in-demand pianists, performing in groups led by Jeff Coffin, Chester Thompson, Imer Santiago, Duffy Jackson, Christina Watson, Marcus Finnie, and many others. He also plays regularly with the Dara Tucker Band, Joshua Carswell, the Tyler Mire Big Band, Rahsaan Barber's Everyday Magic, and the Jason Eskridge Band. Matt has also shared the stage with legendary figures like Arthur Blythe, Jimmy Heath, Henry Grimes, David Liebman, Steve Coleman, Jane Ira Bloom and the late Marcus Belgrave. From 2003-2013, Matt lived and worked in Ann Arbor, MI where he was a student of Geri Allen, Ellen Rowe, Stephen Rush, Edward Parmentier, Donald Walden, and Edward Sarath at the University of Michigan

Tarek Yamani

Born and raised in Beirut, Tarek is an American-Lebanese New York based self-taught jazz pianist who has been dedicated to exploring relationships between African-American Jazz and Arabic rhythms/maqams which are most evident in his second album "Lisan Al Tarab: Jazz Conceptions in Classical Arabic", and in his newly released “Peninsular” which fuses jazz with the rhythms of the Arabian Peninsula. Winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Jazz Composers Competition, Tarek has been fortunate to share the stage with luminaries such as Wayne Shorter, Richard Bona, Zakir Hussein, Esperanza Spalding, and Antonio Sanchez during the inaugural and the sixth editions of the International Jazz Day, at the UN Assembly Hall in New York and the Teatro de la Habana, Cuba, respectively.

Addison Frei

Born: January 22, 1992

Ever since Addison Frei (“Fry”) began playing piano professionally at age ten in local restaurants around Lawrence, Kansas, he has garnered accolades far beyond his years. The New York-based pianist has won first prize in several competitions including the 2017 Parmigiani Montreux Jazz Piano Solo Competition, the 2016 UNISA International Jazz Piano Competition in Pretoria, South Africa, the 2015 American Jazz Pianist Competition in Melbourne, Florida, and the 2012 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. Jeanne Arland Peterson

Born: 1921

Jeanne Arland Peterson, pianist extraordinaire, was a child prodigy. Growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, her talent revealed itself early on, when she began to play chords and melody on the piano at the young age of 3. But, remarkably she did not have her first formal piano lesson until the age of 15. That same year she had her first paying "gig" under the watchful eye of her older brother, saxophonist Donald Pouliot. Jeanne's musical mentors in those days were Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, and their influence is very much reflected in her enduring and innovative playing style

Tomas Jochmann

Born: September 9, 1986

Ever since his studies at the conservatory in Prague, Tomáš Jochmann has been a regular at prestigious international jazz workshops in Italy, such as Tuscia in Jazz Workshop, Barry Harris Workshop, or Ronciglione Jazz Spring. Thus, many jazz superstars rank among his teachers: Kenny Barron, Barry Harris, Aaron Parks, Dave Kikoski, Dado Moroni, or Antonio Ciacca. Throughout his musical career in the Czech Republic, Tomáš Jochmann has become one of the most distinguished and sought-after accompanists for singers in jazz as well as other genres. He has also performed in Switzerland, Germany, Egypt, Taiwan, and Vietnam

Guy Gardner

Born: April 16, 1975

Studied contemporary music and composition at Dartington College of Arts in Devon. During this time, also began studying with jazz pianist John Horler in London. He Graduated in in 2001 where he began freelancing as a musician around the South West of England. After running various groups and also gaining a PGCE in adult teaching Guy, recorded his first trio album in 2003 entitled Emma’s Dream, featuring the late Jeff Clyne and Trevor Tomkins. This saw him working high profile gigs for the first time, as well as expanding the trio and working with such great saxophonists as Dave O’Higgins and Renato De Aiello

Espen Eriksen Trio

The jazz world is not short on piano trios, but it´s not every day that one comes across a new trio with a personal musical language. Espen Eriksen Trio plays highly melodical and lyrical instrumentals with elements from Scandinavian folk and melancholia and shades of the deep woods. It´s definitely jazz, but their less is more approach is in contrast to most of their contemporaries, with structures almost like pop songs and with a strong focus on melodies and short solos. It´s fair to place them in a tradition with Tord Gustavsen Trio and the late Esbjörn Svensson Trio, but without really sounding like any of them.

I have been active in Jazz since '75. I've had the good fortune to play with many greats, some of which include Sonny Stitt, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Lew Tabackin, John Handy, Bobby Hutcherson, Bill Henderson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Mark Murphy, Woody Shaw, Emily Remler, Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, and many others. I also spent 9 years touring the world with The Robert Cray Band, winning two Grammy awards in the process. Television appearances include The Tonight Show with both Carson and Leno, The Today Show, Arsenio Hall Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and numerous television appearances around the world.
