Jamal Dickerson

A native of Camden, New Jersey, Jamal P. Dickerson started formal music studies during grade school. By high school he was studying with many Philadelphia jazz greats, including Terrell Stafford, Tim Warfield, Shirley Scott, Cullen Knight, and Leon Mitchell. He is a trumpeter and world percussionist, with emphasis on West African music. He received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Morgan State University in 1999 and a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers in 2010. During a thirty day intensive in Guinea, West Africa he studied Djembe family percussion, Balafon and Kora, under the direction of Moussa Diabate, with the African National Ballet, Les Ballet Africain De Guinea

Lou Walinsky

Lou Walinsky is a pianist whose primary focus has been creating and performing solo piano arrangements based on a wide variety of songs.  His background includes extensive study of both classical and jazz piano - with extraordinary teachers that included Roland Hanna, Jimmy Giuffre, and Hank Jones.  Lou has worked in jazz, pop, and klezmer ensembles for over 40 years.  He has given solo performances throughout his career, as he worked on his concepts of arranging and improvising with songs, that have develped in his Piano Works concerts.  He loves creating these arrangements and is excited to share them with live in-person audiences.  He has produced two solo albums:  Lou Walinsky Piano Arrangements: Original Interpretations of Standards (2018) and Music From Many Places (1996). Lou has also taught piano privately, taught music in Philadelphia Public Schools, and performed music programs for both children and for senior citizens.

Abby Lee is a jazz and cabaret singer based in Philadelphia, PA. Until recently, she performed under her married name, Abby Lee Mosconi. She has a powerful voice and impeccable technique that has attracted attention at recent gigs such as the Cabaret Festival at Cornelia Street Underground and the annual “Comfort and Joy” Christmas Concert at the Church of St. Luke and the Epiphany, both in Philadelphia, and the Cornelia Street Café in New York City. Born in 1991 in Versailles, France, Alexandre Delcourt is a young in-demand bass player based in the Philadelphia area . His long-time love and passion for jazz and many others genres of music has allowed him to develop his own voice on the double bass as well as on the electric bass. Alexandre started studying bass when he was 14 years old but music has always sparked his curiosity. He fondly remembers receiving his first radio from his parents: “I couldn’t stop messing around with the bass boost button. Bill Gottshall

Bill Gottshall is a playwright and composer who has written several stage plays and has composed or arranged more than 100 pieces of music for vocal and instrumental ensembles. Gottshall also serves as a teaching artist with two different non-profit educational foundations. Delaware Valley Arts Institute, based in Doylestown, PA brings working artists into schools so that the students can have close access to the professional creative process. Gottshall also works for Arts of Anyone, based in Lawrenceville, NJ. As a staff composer in their Living Bookshelf program, Gottshall helps students adapt works of children’s fiction for the Broadway stage
