Pete Lavezzoli

Born in South Florida, drummer Pete “Chef” Lavezzoli combines old-school rock and R&B backbeat with a progressive rock and jazz edge. Pete will be on drums for the upcoming 2023 reunion of “Jazz Is Dead,” with Alphonso Johnson, Steve Kimock, and Bobby Lee Rodgers. 

Pete has played most recently with Oteil Burbridge & Friends; Trouble No More (with Peter Levin, Nikki Glaspie, Roosevelt Collier, Daniel Donato, and brothers Brandon “Taz” and Dylan Neiderauer); Live Dead ’69 with Tom Constanten and Mark Karan; the Airplane Family with Slick Aguilar and Peter Kaukonen; and Crazy Fingers. Pete was the touring drummer for over ten years (2009-2020) with Melvin Seals & JGB.
