He has earned numerous awards and critical acclaim for his recorded works and passionate live appearances and has been recognized by The New York Times as one of the "most provocative musical thinkers of his generation".

A professional piano, organ and keyboard player living outside Philadelphia PA, Dave Mattock divides his time between running the Mattock School of Music, performing, and teaching. Dave is a member of the faculty at Camden County College, University of Pennsylvania, and Lafayette College, where he teaches piano, theory, music history, music business, jazz ensembles and introductory music classes. His recording career consists of three full length jazz albums under his own name, dozens of recordings as a sideman, and composition credits for TV. Dave can also be found freelancing around Philadelphia in various jazz ensembles, cover bands, wedding bands and studio appearances

Taeko Kunishima

Taeko Kunishima is Japanese pianist and eclectic composer. Taeko Kunishima was born in Japan and studied classical piano performance at university. On hearing Miles Davis for the first time, her direction changed, leading her to explore the music of many different jazz artists, and to develop her own improvisatory technique whilst studying jazz harmony. ‘I had a long absence from musical activity while living in the Middle East, and shortly after, in my youth. By experiencing different cultures and listening to Japanese classical, jazz and Arabic music, I was inspired to write my own diverse compositions.’ Since moving to England, she has continued to evolve and develop her startling, angular contemporary jazz approach alongside her work with many UK jazz artists, she has also been collaborating with musicians from different cultures and countries and has built up an impressive range of musical partnerships

Canadian jazz vocalist and songwriter Deb Rasmussen has been enchanting audiences for 20 years. Deb often takes a soft, understated approach to a song, but make no mistake, she can swing! She’s known for her spacious, playful interpretations of standards, performing her own tunes, and for the way she makes time stand still as she connects heart-to-heart with listeners. A proud continuator of the jazz tradition, Deb counts among her influences Carmen McCrae and Abbey Lincoln, and gives back to jazz with her work on the Board of JazzYYC, Calgary’s jazz collaborative. Deb has studied with vocal jazz greats including Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton at the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts as well as with Nancy King, Dee Daniels, Cheryl Fisher and Madeline Eastman

|| EDUCATION || Born in 1990, he graduated in classical piano from the Music Conservatory in Parma, where he had the opportunity to attend masterclasses led by world-famous pianists and musicians. With Fabrizio Ottavucci, in particular, he studied John Cage’s prepared piano and the music by other important composers from the 1900s, such as Giacinto Scelsi and Morton Feldman. He joined the Erasmus program and gained the opportunity to study at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (Poland). Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Melissa is currently based in New York City, immersing herself in its rich music scene and establishing herself as a formidable talent. Over the past 8 years, she has developed a loyal fan base in Canada playing regularly in that country's major jazz clubs and festivals. Influenced by a range of classic and contemporary singers including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, Norma Winstone and Luciana Souza, Melissa’s sound is rooted in the tradition of jazz singing, while remaining entirely her own. Joan Hutton

Joan Hutton is a woodwind performer, composer and music educator residing in Minneapolis and hailing from Toronto, Canada. After many years performing primarily in the classical genre, with the Ancia Saxophone Quartet and as a freelance doubler, in 2017 she began devoting her energy to jazz and improvised music. Since then, Joan has developed her voice on bass clarinet in addition to saxophones and formed the Joan Hutton Jazz Project to feature her original compositions. She has become a regular on the Twin Cities jazz scene and has performed with the Joan Hutton Jazz Project at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival
