Nova Modern is a unique jazz trio assembled in 2008 by guitarist Bob Bozonelos and saxophonist Waylon Hicks. Great chemistry is the core of the band’s success and their signature brand of funk flavored grooves always prove to be fun and exciting. With the absence of a bass player, Bob was forced to cover the bass line along with the guitar chords simultaneously, (not an easy task to cover) but amazingly it all worked! To make the endeavor more possible, Bob invested in a custom made 8-string guitar and with that The Nova Modern was born. With their high energy, fresh, new jazz sound, Nova Modern is a pleasurable musical journey away from the ordinary.
