Every band has its story and the N’Awlins gumbo Kings have theirs as well. Until the summer of 2002, trumpeter Steve Howard, clarinetist, saxophonist, and arranger Mike Sizer and trombonist Brad Herring had never crossed paths. Well that’s not quite true you see because each member of this band has spent years working on Bourbon Street in the Big Easy, New Orleans with overlapping tours of duty, playing for the top performers and working in the top studios yet as crazy as it sounds never meeting. It took six “strangers” each relocating to the Dallas • Fort Worth area one at a time years later in order to come together as a group
