He has performed with Joe Chambers, Peter Bernstein, Ingrid Jensen, Malika Tirolien (Bokanté), Ivan Neville, Michael Blake, Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Bassekou Kouyate and Ngoni Ba, André White, Kevin Dean, Greg Cohen, Al McLean, Kalmunity, Gamelan Giri Kedaton and many others.
Active as a leader and sideman, he has performed at over 50 festivals around the world, most recently appearing at the 2019 Vancouver International Jazz Festival and 2019 OFF Festival in Montreal.

Founded in 2012, Gisèle is halfway netween modern instrumental jazz and progressive rock. The first album, Roger, was released in December 2013. A few EPs followed, a Christmas and even a Halloween album were released before the second album, Aldo, was launched in 2016. With varied influences such as Chris Potter, Kneebody, King Crimson, The Thing, and more recently, numerous hip hop artists, Gisèle's tunes stand out with contrasting sections. The precise, odd-time overdriven guitar riffs are well-balanced with free improvisation sections. The saxophone can pull off tasteful solos imediately followed by apocalyptic screaming with effects. Luc Herrmann is a Montreal based guitarist and a strong voice in the next generation of great jazz musicians the city has developed a reputation for. Having heavily studied the jazz guitar tradition, all the while appreciating current composers and improvisers, Luc’s sound is a natural blend of the old and the new. As a recent McGill graduate, Luc was able to study and perform with some of the best jazz musicians Canada has to offer. “The Luc Herrmann Group” is a modern Jazz quartet dedicated to playing the guitarist's music and achieving his artistic vision. Featuring Luc's favorite Montreal musicians: Jules Payette (Alto Saxophone) Louis-Vincent Hamel (Drums) and Levi Dover (Bass) The band always brings a high level of energy and great camaraderie to each performance having played together a number of years. The Quartet released their debut album entitled ''Luc Herrmann Group'' on October 10th 2017 at Resonance Café, one of Montreal's choice venues to hear emerging and creative jazz.
