Sarah Kennedy

Sarah Kennedy is the kind of performer that brightens the room before the show starts, warms every heart, and keeps listeners spellbound and smirking until the last note has faded. Her repertoire is strongly rooted in straight-ahead jazz, with influences ranging from Sarah Vaughan to Blossom Dearie, but her sound is evolving into an intriguing personal style as she ventures into original composition. 

She holds a diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Voice, completed with instructors from both Vancouver Community College and Capilano University, but more recently she completed a Masters in Creative Arts Therapies from Concordia University.  So in addition to being a brilliant jazz performer with a penchant for thrilling her audience, Sarah Kennedy is also a Music Therapist on a mission to enhance mental health with music.

Adrian Vedady

Adrian Vedady is one of Montreal’s finest jazz bassists. Since 1998 he has been performing, recording and touring nationally and internationally. He is known for his beautiful sound, his creativity, his ability to connect with a broad array of musicians and his soulfulness.

He performs regularly with such great Montreal musicians as Christine Jensen, Kate Wyatt, Sienna Dahlen, Al McLean, Lex French, Steve Amirault, and Yannick Rieu. He has performed with Canadian jazz greats Lorne Lofsky, Kirk MacDonald, Wray Downes, Phil Dwyer, Brad Turner, Florian Hoefner, Kevin Turcotte, and Roddy Ellias.  Vedady has worked with international artists such as Marc Copland, Dan Weiss, Peter Bernstein, Ingrid Jensen, Jean-Michel Pilc, Sheila Jordan, Chet Doxas, David Liebman, Gary Versace, Ariel Pocock, Ravi Coltrane and George Colligan.

Nicolas Lanctot

Nicolas Lanctôt, a Monteal based musician, was introduced to music at a very young age. Having always had a love for music, he began taking piano lessons at the age of 6, and played trombone during high school. It is however at the age of fifteen that he started learning how to play the guitar and found out that he wanted to become a professional musician. Having studied music in college and in university allowed Nicolas to make many connections in the montreal music scene. The city's culturally diverse population has also allowed him to learn a wide variety of different styles, as he has accompanied arists from Haiti, Mali, the Dominican Republic, and many more

Saku Mantere

Saku Mantere is a Finnish-born, Montréal-based jazz vocalist and composer, whose music explores the borderlands between jazz, poetry, and storytelling. His debut album Upon First Impression (2022, Orchard of Pomegranates) received acclaim for its narrative lyricism, stylistic range, and elegant arrangements. Mantere’s supple, story-driven vocal style has drawn comparisons to Kurt Elling and Leonard Cohen, balancing jazz phrasing with singer-songwriter intimacy. With Divine Apology, Mantere continues to chart an original path in vocal jazz, connecting personal narrative with musical exploration.
