Katarina Kochetova

Born:
Pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger, Katarina Kochetova has distinguished herself as one of the leading voices in the European jazz scene.
She was born in Ukraine's capital - Kyiv, and she grew up in Belgrade (RS) with her parents who are both musicians: Max Kochetov and Ksenija Kochetova.
At the age of 6, Kochetova began studying classical piano with Nada Filipovic, Milica Vasiljevic-Bisenic and Ruzica Gojkovic. She studied classical piano for 7 years and at the age of 13, she was admitted to a music high school "Kornelije Stankovic" at the jazz piano department where she studied with Milos "Mike M" Krstic and Aleksandar Grujic. She participated in a few jazz competitions: she won a prize in the "Naturalmente Piano Forte" competition, 2nd prize for an original composition in the competition "The Best Musical Mind", 2nd prize on “Katowice Miasto Ogrodow Composition Competition” and many more. Katarina also took part in Lee Ritenour's "Six String Theory Competition" and was awarded 4th place in the Rhythm Section Competition as a pianist.

John Alvey

Nashville born drummer John Alvey has been a regular of the Nashville jazz scene for almost two decades. He can be found playing in different musical incarnations in Nashville or on the road. John has worked with Joel Frahm, Rahsaan Barber, Roland Barber, Rod McGaha, Don Aliquo, and he has performed alongside Gregory Tardy, Brian Lynch Jeff Coffin, Bob McChesney, and Jason Marshall.
Outside of jazz, in Nashville’s rich country and roots music scene, John has recorded and/or performed with Taj Mahal, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Sierra Hull, Shannon Labrie, and Vince Gill, having worked in musical fields as diverse as recording drums with string quartets, to playing shows in both historic and modern rooms: The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry, The Bluebird Cafe, The Station Inn, Rudy's Jazz Room, and The Nashville Jazz Workshop

Christopher Parnis

Born:
Christopher Parnis is a multi-award-winning Canadian double bassist with a deep-rooted and broad connection to the jazz tradition. He has performed in clubs and festivals across the country, and has worked and recorded with a who’s-who of Canadian musicians such as Brian Dickinson, Terry Clarke, Robi Botos, Reg Schwager, Jocelyn Gould, and Allison Au.
In addition to enjoying a busy schedule of sideman work, Christopher is also an accomplished bandleader. In early 2024 he established a multi-generational 9-piece band of Toronto mainstay musicians and rising talents performing the horn arranging of Don Thompson, and since 2019 he has led a quintet in developing iterations performing and developing his own original music which was recently recorded and will be releasing as his debut full-length album.

June Yun

June Yun, is an up-and-coming vocalist • composer based in New York, Seoul and Berlin. Yun was born in South Korea and moved to the U.K. when she was five and spent her childhood in London. She was introduced to classical music by her father, an architect who loved music and influenced her to listen and appreciate music. After moving back to South Korea, she explored other genres in music such as pop, R&B and Soul. Yun went to a music college in Korea and developed skills in song-writing (mainly pop and R&B) and lyric writing. She also worked as a co-producer & administrative director for Avenue D&F Productions during this time.

Giacinto Piracci

Born:
Giacinto Piracci, born in Naples, in 1974. At the age of 14 starts studying the guitar, with a teacher for a short period, and continuing self-taught. His musical interests focus mainly on Rock, playing with small local bands, then moving to Jazz, practicing for a few months before starting classical studies, new passion. He achieves in year 2000 the Degree in Classical Guitar and in 2005 the Degree in Jazz Music at the Conservatory of Naples, with top marks and praise.
In 2004 takes part at the Jazz clinics in Siena (Siena Jazz) where he studies with Enrico Rava, Pietro Tonolo, Massimo Manzi, Tomaso Lama and other teachers, winning a scholarship to rapresent Italy, with another student, at the I.A.S.J (International Association Schools of Jazz) meeting in Krakow in 2005, under the direction of Dave Liebman.

Alec Orea

Formerly known as Alex Corrêa, Alec Orea was born in august 17th, 1981. As the son of a classical pianist, was at the age of five his first contact with the piano, but was at thirteen when he decided to follow the music path. At seventeen, Alex began his undergraduate studies at Universidade Estadual de Londrina - Brazil, which brought him into a significant contact with many sound environments, anthropological and philosophical studies, and skills aimed at teaching music.
By the age of 25, Alec moved to São Paulo in Brazil and focused on studying the development of a contemporary language in the context of instrumental music, and as a result he recorded his first album in 2010, entitled “Sintoma” in partnership with Adauto Dias, Nenê and Arismar do Espírito Santo. Besides being a performer he also worked as a teacher compounding the faculty of the Conservatory Souza Lima in São Paulo, Brazil.
