Alli Bean

Victoria, BC, Canada's Alli Bean is a multi-award-winning Canadian powerhouse blues/jazz/pop-
influenced songwriter and vocalist. Drawing influence from a list of artists including Wynton Kelly,
Horace Silver, Fiona Apple and Amy Winehouse, her compositional style leans toward the bluesy funky
side of the street, with a twist of jazz and a dash of sass for good measure.
Since her start in classical piano in the 90’s, Bean has explored diverse popular styles of music from
country and rock to R&B, as well as attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies.
Currently on the roster of Indie Entertainment, she has experience in multi genre bands and ensembles

With a solid reputation as a "technically gifted musician," Tassos has built an impressive résumé of collaborations "in a relatively short time," as praised by All About Jazz (US). The progressive website Jazz-rock.com (US) labeled Tassos ‘..simply a master improviser with his own unique chording and melodic phrasing.’

Tahina Rahary

Contact with music started at a tender age. Born in Madagascar, an island paradise
in the middle of the Indian Ocean, he came from a large
family who all shared a love for good music.
At the young age of 6 he made his first moves on the drums,
and turned professional when he was 9 with his father’s orchestra “Les fréres Albert”
made up of various family members. As one of the most famous orchestras of Madagascar,
they toured the country playing Jazz music and good french
music from the 60..s.
Later, at 11 he started the guitar,
saxophone and flute, but the guitar became his
preferred instrument

Dan Heck

Dan Heck, jazz Guitarist and Bassist, recording artist, composer and educator relocated to Naples, FL from New York City. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he moved to Seattle in 1993 and began establishing his professional jazz reputation there. As a founding member of the band "Bebop and Destruction", he experienced national success and recognition for his efforts, winning several awards and recording four critically acclaimed CD's with the group. From there, he moved to New York City, working in famous venues such as the Blue Note, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Kavehaz, Flute, the Pierre Hotel, Cleopatra's Needle, and the French Consulate with a wealth of incredible musicians. Dan has served as leader of the house band for Campiello (Naples, FL)

Nick Adema

Born:
Nick Adema is a Canadian trombonist/composer currently based in Amsterdam. Nick obtained his undergraduate degree in jazz performance at the University of Toronto. While attending this school, Nick had the honors of receiving the Albert & Wilhelmine Francis Renewable Scholarship (UofT Faculty full scholarship). While at the Toronto school, he filled the lead trombone chair in the University of Toronto Jazz Orchestra, and the Bass trombone chair in the University of Toronto 12tet. While at the school, they recorded a full length album with the UTJO entitled Embargo. Nick is currently completing his masters degree in Jazz Performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA). Growing up in Ottawa, Nick started to find his musical voice by playing with youth groups such as the Nepean All-City Jazz Band, the Ottawa Youth Orchestra, the Conn Selmer Big Band, and the Capital Youth Jazz Orchestra

Nery Kim

Nery Kim is a South Korean pianist and composer who began playing piano at the age of six. She is known for her original compositions and harmonic sensibility in the jazz genre. Nery has performed as both a leader and sideman in a variety of jazz styles, and her talents have taken her around the world to places such as Indonesia, South Korea, China, Turkey, Central America, and the United States. She has worked with numerous musicians as a composer, arranger, pianist, and keyboardist on various albums. In 2021, Nery released her debut album, "PURPLE REFLECTION," featuring John Petitucci, Alex Sipiagin, Dayna Stephen, Alan Ferber, and Jonathan Pinson.

Max Johnk

Max Johnk is a bassist, composer and teacher. A native of the Fargo- Moorhead area, Max earned his bachelor’s degree in music from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2011, and went on to earn his master’s degree in jazz studies from Northern Illinois University in 2014. While at NIU, he played in the nationally recognized NIU Jazz Ensemble and the Rosebud Foundation Jazztet. Max returned to the FM area in 2014, and began a two year stint as an adjunct professor at MSUM, where he taught jazz combos and bass lessons. He currently teaches at Amped School of Music in Fargo. An active performer on double bass and bass guitar, Max can be heard in a variety of freelance situations, and with increasing frequency as a bandleader

Aaron Bahr

Born:
Aaron Bahr is a trumpeter, composer, and teacher living and working in New York City, where he performs
both as a bandleader and sideman. His latest album release is titled Places, Real and Imagined..
Since moving to New York in 2015 Bahr has performed as both a sideman and bandleader at some of the best
Jazz clubs in the city, including Smalls, Fat Cat, and Zinc Bar. He was a member of the Jazz Quintet Groove
Merchant, recording on their self-titled 2016 album and touring Japan in March 2017. He also performs
regularly with Pianist/Composer Tetsuro Hoshii's group "The Doggy Cats." Bahr’s own current septet project
features his original compositions and arrangements, played by an international cast of innovative, imaginative,
and virtuosic musicians.
Aaron has also earned accolades for his big band writing, winning both the 2015 SF Jazz HUT Foundation
Alumni Commission award and the 2015 Jazz in the Neighborhood Emerging Composer Competition
