Michael Sullivan

Miles Davis' manager, Tony Meilandt heard Michael's CD and jumped on a plane to see his live show. Tony managed the band until he passed away in New York in late 2004. Michael continues to write music and perform at colleges all over the country. Sullivan is a very talented singer/songwriter with two Grammy winning musicians by his side. The drummer, Tom Brechtlein toured with Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Eric Johnson, and many other great musicians. The bass player, Philip Bynoe toured the world with Steve Vai for six years and has played with the Tonight Show Band. It's a tribute to Mike Sullivan's talent that musicians of this calibre support and believe in him. For Mike's tour schedule and more info on his music, please see

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
