Argentinean drummer and percussionist Mauro Satalino is part of a generation of young musicians engaged in exploring creative and rich links between jazz and the vast South-American traditional music. An active performer and educator, his versatility allows him to be part of different situations and move around styles such as Jazz, Pop, Funk and South-American rhythms. In the year 2000, with a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, he moved to Boston to expand his musical frontiers. He had the great opportunity to learn and shared stages with amazing teachers and performers: Mugrew Miller, Danilo Perez, Hal Crook, Ian Froman, Ed Tomassi, Mark Walker, Jeff Galindo, Kenwood Dennard and Jon Hazilla.
