Matthew Storie

Born:

Matthew Storie is a jazz and classical saxophonist, teacher, and bandleader residing in Omaha, NE. He is Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he teaches jazz and classical saxophone. He formerly served as Adjunct Instructor of Music Theory and Improvisation at Anderson University, and as sabbitcal replacement at Furman University as Adjunct Professor of Saxophone. He has performed with jazz legends including Christian McBride, Ron Blake, Steve Wilson, Geoffrey Keezer,  the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Carl Allen, Brad Dutz, Jiggs Whigham, and Bob Moses as well as some of Central Illinois' and Upstate South Carolina's top jazz players and jazz ensembles including the Iron Post Jazz Orchestra, Greenville Jazz Collective, Ol' 74 Jazz Band, and Asheville Jazz Orchestra.
