Martin Höper

Martin Höper was born in 1978. His musical career started in Kalmar, Sweden, playing electric bass with various rockgroups.After switching to the upright bass in highschool and studying jazzmusic he ended up at the royal conservatory of music in Stockholm.There he studied with some of the most prominent bassplayers in sweden including Palle Danielsson. Pretty soon he began his freelance career playing with groups like Fredrik Norén Band, Rigmor Gustafsson, Gustav Lundgren Quartet, Last Days Of April and with electrojazz group KOOP he’s toured Asia, North America and Europe many times. Currently playing with Thus:Owls, Rigmor Gustafsson, Peter Jöback, Claes Janson, Platina Jazz, Martin Höper Quartet feat. Jonas
