Maria Barlett is a Jazz singer who follows in the tradition of the greatest American vocalists of the past century. She is a graduate of the prestigious Frost Conservatory of Music at the University of Miami, Coral Gables Florida, a bastion of world class Jazz education. Maria has continued her musical growth under the tutelage of legendary jazzman Hal Shaefer, with whom she developed her program “Standard Fare” to present the best of the American Songbook to audience both foreign and domestic. Together, they have collaborated to produce a collection of splendid arrangements, recorded digitally, that enable Maria to utilize various media to share Hal’s matchless piano artistry with her audiences around the world, and here as part of her elegant program “Standard Fare.”
