His music merges improvisation, sampling, and deep rhythmic exploration, inspired by the groove and improvisational traditions that shaped contemporary music, from Charles Mingus and Charlie Haden to A Tribe Called Quest, Gnawa trance musicians, and experimental producers like Flying Lotus — shaping a raw, rhythm-forward sound that transcends genre boundaries.
