MUSICIAN Born:

Linda Kosut

Backstage Magazine’s Bistro/BMI award winner, Linda Kosut, with an easy listening voice that’s been dubbed a “warm dark sound”, and a “throaty alto”, swings jazz, pop and folk, and easily sings a repertoire from the standard to the obscure with fresh interpretations. Linda has performed across the country from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Seattle. Kosut grew up in the Bronx (NY), and as she tells it, had a lifelong dream of singing and performing - yet she did not make that into reality until “later in life.” But, since making that shift in her life, and “putting one foot in front of the other, I have created opportunities and achieved a success with my music that I did not think was possible.” Her first two CDs received national acclaim

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
