Musician

Lina Nyberg is widely regarded as one of Sweden's foremost jazz artists and continues to maintain a strong international presence through collaborations, touring, and critically acclaimed recordings. Over the course of her career, she has received numerous distinctions, including her first Swedish Grammy (Grammis) in 1995, the Gyllene Skivan (Golden Record) award in 2017, and the prestigious Jan Johansson Scholarship in 2021. Nyberg served as Composer in Residence with Bohuslän Big Band (2022-23) and has also earned recognition for her large-scale collaborations with the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra (Terrestrial, 2017) and Västerås Sinfonietta (Reflections, 2022).
In 2006, she co-founded IMPRA (www.impra.se), which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and in 2020 she was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Music
